Tasteful interior and exterior. Solid build quality, good performance, fuel economy, comfort. Well implemented info system, minor gripe- no heated wheel. Cabin heats up quickly in winter however. Great premium car choice including winter driving.

Pursuing 4 door sedan perfection

Purchased 2017 A4 Premium+ with a bit over 40k miles on it. Previously had Cadillac ATS, and it was great handling and very fun to drive, but with a toddler, I wanted a sedan with a more rear legroom. So, I traded it in for the Volvo S60, which was a perfectly nice car, but when there was a narrowing spread between the rising S60 trade in price and still-low A4 price, I got the A4. The A4 is simply a stunning car. The engine is plenty powerful, with smooth 7 speed DCT. Virtual cockpit is really nice to look at and easy to play with. The interior is classy with high quality materials and very comfortable. Also, the Audi phone app allows me to track my car’s location and can access basic info and lock and unlock the car without any monthly fee. Cadillac had similar free app, but S60 had a paid app. I also purchased a device called OBDEleven to turn on features only available on the Prestige trim, such as auto high beam assist and active lane assist, which added extra value. The entire backseat folds down flat, so I can fit much larger items. My ATS’ backseat fold down, at all. I know I shouldn’t compare the ATS, a small compact, to A4, but some features like this I think is fair for comparison. Overall, this car has everything I would ever want: sportiness, design, interior quality, and tech. There are a few well-documented shortcomings, however. There is a noticeable lag from stop to start, but once it is going, it drives great. Handling is lacking in feel and too much play. Handling on my previous ATS was by far the best and most fun handling car. Lastly, I could “feel” that this is a nose-heavy car, though it corners very flat. Handling and the stop-to-start lag are the most noticeable areas of improvements. I know the newer A4s have higher horsepower output, but I don’t think the A4 really any more power. If you want significant more power, go for the S4. The A4 braking is good and instills confidence in driving and sporty handling. I should note that after only about 2 months of driving, the thermostat broke, which cost over $2k to fix. It is known that Audis are expensive and not the most reliable cars of the bunch, but I am willing to take the risk to drive this fine piece of machinery for the long haul by getting all the recommended maintenance done. Overall, the A4 in my mind is a car pursuing perfection and excellence and you could sense it when you are in the car. Appreciate all the work that the design and engineering teams have put together in the A4. I enjoy simply being in the car and look forward to driving it everyday.

I leased my '17 A4 Premium Plus with Sport and Technology package in 2016. When my 3-year lease was up I only had 20k miles on the car so I bought it. I am still loving this car over 5 years later. It just does everything well. Quiet but really quick with the 7-speed DSG. Feels light around the corners. B&O sound system is great! Every time I get in the car the interior makes it feel like a special occasion. The quality and details are amazing. I also prefer the MMI knob to a touch screen because I never have to take my eyes off the road and there are no fingerprints. So impeccably built. I have researched every other car in its class but still haven't found anything I prefer more.

I love this car! I have had a Honda, a Subaru, a Toyota and I loved them all, then I got a hankering for an Audi....this car is so awesome, smooth, quiet, great gas mileage and just an all around great looking car.
