Im sweating
2022 Acura mdx A-spec. This is my 20 + Acura since 1986 1/2 and as the years have gone bye I have seen more issues with every new replacement. The last decent Acura i had was in 2008 and it was an mdx after that it was extremely downhill. i have been a auto enthusiast for many years and have quite a collection of collectibles and Acura was always my choice for reliability design and semi luxury .i have kept away from the European and American vehicles due to overpricing and reliability issues, but Acura has caught up to the unreliability standards and now there prices are also catching up . Well, I have 800 miles on my current MDX and my air conditioning has been working horrible. I called a dealer and told them the temperature at the vents are between 50-60 with the outside temp at 72 degrees. Not exceptable, but the service manager said it is normal with this new freon .I am sweating just thinking about it . I called another dealer and they said bring it over and they found that the condenser was leaking . They fixed but overheard them speaking that these new 2022 acuras were rushed into production to fast despite the 1 year gap due to Covid. As I heard , there are just to many problems then we've anticipated and parts are not even available. Well, that was more than I wanted to hear. On the other hand they fixed my vehicle flawlessly and applaud the way they respected my vehicle and fixed it to perfection. I hope they are wrong about issues but if this continues and Acura feels that losing me and probably many other dedicated customer is of no concern to there existence, so be it I will look elsewhere for a dependable company. In fact, when I had a more major issue with my past 2016 mdx and ask them for some assistance they said we've given somethings in the past and my reply was ,I think after 20+ Acuras I deserve a couple of gracious offers. there answer was we can not afford to offer accommodations more then a couple times. Example; a couple oil changes or mud guards .I think that was more then reasonable. I hope Acura starts to really take there customers more seriously and offers dedication UNCONDITIONALLY............

Rock chips in the brakes for days !
Overall I love the look and despite what others might say about the infotainment system it served me well. The only complain after 1 year and 12000 km is the rock chips getting stuck on rotors backplate. I would say at least 20 times, getting stuck for on average 3-4 days. And it makes the car sound like trash Finally decided to take it to the dealer and they said they will have to take it apart everytime and there's nothing they can do about it.

Great upgrade for a JDM Enthusiast
I love cars! Have had over 26 cars for the past 25 years. I had a 2017 MDX Advance before pulling the trigger on a 2022 MDX Type S Advance. WOW, what an upgrade. We looked at the GV80 and XC90 as possibilities and fell in love with this top end Acura that comes with everything you need. The increased power is not like my previous TT 6speed Supra but for a family hauler in the Rocky Mountains this thing will get you there in Comfort and ease or in a flash with your heart racing. I love choosing between Sport Plus for the twisty roads and Comfort driving through city traffic. I actually like the touch pad, that screen is too far forward to comfortably use as a touch screen, unlike my Land Cruiser which has it far forward. For 73K when looking at comparable autos this was the one for us... Oh yeah, and it is a Honda so will hold it value over time. UPDATE: We have had this car now for 2.5 years and have put about 32k miles on it. This is still one of our favorite cars to ever own. It is a great balance of comfort and speed. Nothing new has come out that has compelled us to make a change. Still very happy!

Straight Talk
Quick Summary: great seat comfort for all day travels - very stable in a straight line on the highways and it corners exceptionally well - quiet cabin but noticeable tire noise on some surfaces - lots of nice features - touch pad interface with the screen is hopelessly complicated and frankly is unsafe in a motor vehicle as it requires WAY too much attention to do anything because it is not intuitive at all and requires the manual for even the simplest tasks. My 2005 MDX had a wonderful NAV system, but this one is way too complicated. If I had to buy this car over again I would just buy the basic model and use a garmin gps or even my iphone instead.

Incredibly bad mileage buggy infotainment
Can you imagine an Acura having an average MPG of 14-15 MPG. The dealer says it is normal and nothing wrong with the car. 220 miles per tank. I really do love the look of the car inside and out. They have done a great job. The infotainment system is incredibly buggy, and I am shocked that the car went out with it. 1. The system crashes and reboots at least once a week. 2. The radio will just stop working for no reason. You will have to turn the car off, and restart for it to work. Another option is to reset the infotainment system through the diagnostics option. 3. The WiFi hotspot doesn't work. Acura has known about it since at least February, and yet no fix. I would have thought that these issues would have been fixed within a few months, but it seems they just prefer that we just deal with it. Very disappointing from a Japanese car company.
