Review
This is our 2nd foester- we have a 2011 Touring model as well as the new 2014 Touring model ( i vesrsions) The cars are very differant, might as well be made by 2 differant companies , they so unalike- The major differances are improvements to the tranny (now CVT) smoother than the 4 gear jobby of our 2011-- beter gas mileage (3 to 4 miles per gal improvement) We have the A/C on continually , so do not get EPA standard ratings( 24/32 mpg)_pay a penalty of about 4 m/p/g less on average- BUT the improvement of the 2011 Touring model is a average of 3 to 5 m/p/g - __ Interior very roomy- STARK
Favorite Features
Heated seats location of controls improved true 1 touch for moon roof return -----on at duskhead lights, Cushiony seats with nice bolsters--Roomy space w/ rear seats down- ease of access, glove box has no space to trap items in the rear of it---had the interior burled w/ a honey color simulated wood burl- $400 installed-- significantly beautified the interior- worth every cent --Bars for gasoline consumtion , better than a dial- day time running lights- CVT transmission---Fog lights --wide pening doors---Auto rear hatch up/ down-- longer sun visors with side glare pull outs -- Directional lights outside mirrors----loads easily
Suggested Improvements
Glove compartment light---one touch windows , front passenger side--- A more intuitive audio and GPS system- complex multiple screens we stick with just ONE , no changes made- Overkill w/ so many -- Rear view camera screen should be on the bigger low screen , not the small one above...Arm rest does nor extend far enough -- - middle cubicle too far back --- change or cell phone slot on transmission stick deck is gone-- our 2011 has it louder clicking sound for blinkers----wrap around outside mirror signals , so the driver can see if they are on -- a real goof -- front map net
