2002 Chevrolet Impala LS 4dr Sedan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)

Review

The car is great to drive, very
responsive and with very good
acceleration. Have had issues with the
brake rotors and transmission that both
had to be replaced under warrenty.
Rotors at 15000 miles transmission at
37000. Would recommend extended
warrenty.

Best Features

Fun to drive with great gas milage and comfort.

Worst Features

Get rid of Onstar!

2002 Chevrolet Impala LS 4dr Sedan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Our '02 LS has been a great car for
us. We especially enjoy driving it on
our frequent weekend road trips ... it
is comfortable, economical and the
3800 V6 offers more than adequate
power for the highway. The best
upgrade we've made was the
addition of XM Satellite Radio ... really
helps make long drives more
enjoyable. Our sleek black Impala
looks sharp, too, with its LS Sport
Appearance Package. It still draws
admiring comments from friends
and acquaintances. The luxury
touches -- heated leather seats in
front, the self-dimming rearview
mirror and the compass, to name a
few -- are much appreciated. Our
Impala just turned 25,000 miles and
has been quite reliable.

I put on it in a little under 3
years. Upgraded to an LS (at aboout
7K off the sticker). Unbleviable
amount of car for 22K

2002 Chevrolet Impala 4dr Sedan (3.4L 6cyl 4A)

Review

After another year and a half, I thought
an update in order. Only problem has
been brake rotors due to heavy road salt
but completely covered by warrantee! You
could not pry this car away from my
wife! I still can't get over the gas
mileage (3.4 engine)of 28 to 35 mpg and
the great power in everyday driving!
Drove it on a 200 mile trip yesterday
and had to do some serious passing on
icy roads. It handles great! Be sure to
get antilock brakes and the power split
bench seats! A great car all around! I
would buy the base model again with
upgrades--who elsehas a power split
bench seat with this kind of mileage??

Best Features

Good power, wonderful gas mileage, good sound system, comfortable seats even if you're BIG! Huge trunk! Be sure to get some options on the base model that nobody ever tests like ABS, cruise & power seat!

Worst Features

Better front shocks! Make ABS standard!
