DETROIT — GM is offering discounts on most 2014 and 2015 Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles to teachers and other employees of public or private schools, the automaker announced on Tuesday.
The program runs through January 2.
"GM values the work our educators and support staff are doing across the country to create a strong, responsible workforce for the future," said Linda Stouffer, GM manager of vehicle purchase programs. "The GM Educator Discount is our way of showing our support and appreciation for everyone in the education community."
Program discounts may be combined with other offers, such as bonus cash. A combined discount of $2,109 is available on the 2014 Chevrolet Impala, according to the program Web site. GM said vehicles are available at a "significant discount" under the terms of the program.
School employees may buy or lease as many as two discounted vehicles under the program.
Edmunds says: GM has been enhancing and expanding its promotions to consumers, including an enhanced discount for active-duty military members. It's a great way to get consumers from all walks of life into showrooms.
