2014 Kia Soul Red Zone Special Edition Bows

IRVINE, California — The 2014 Kia Soul Red Zone special edition will arrive in showrooms in the first quarter of 2014.

Pricing was not announced. The Soul Red Zone is based on the 2014 Kia Soul Plus, which starts at $18,995, including a $795 destination charge.

The special model is inspired by the Kia Track'ster Concept that was shown at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.

Unlike the concept, which was envisioned with a 247-horsepower gas engine, the Soul Red Zone gets the more conventional 164-hp 2.0-liter gasoline direct injected four-cylinder engine.

Kia Motors America said production of the Soul Red Zone will be limited to 2,000 units.

The car gets White exterior paint, 18-inch alloy wheels and a body kit with red accents.

The cabin is equipped with black cloth seats with red stitching, leather steering wheel, black leather dash hood with red stitching, black carpeted floor mats with red piping and sport pedals.

The shift knob ring, air vent ring, dash speakers and console tray trim have red trim.
