Used 2004 Volvo S60 Sedan Consumer Reviews
Piece of junk
We bought our Volvo when we decided to start a family due to the safety reputation. My sister had owned three, one of which saved her life in a wreck, and had also managed to put 300,000 miles on one without incident. Ours is now about to go in the shop for the third time in two months. It has had three parts in the fuel system fail so far with Volvo comping me on one due to my less than pleased opinion of the car so far. I've never had this many problems with a car before. I won't be buying another one. Makes me wish I had bought the Infiniti or Volkswagen I was looking at instead of this.
My S-60
Excellent Car that I highly recommend.
More fun than I expected...
After many weeks of test driving cars, I finally returned to my favorite Vovlo dealership to test drive a 2004 S60. As a former S40 owner, I was quite skeptical, since I had some mechanical issues with the car and the scheduled maintenance was expensive. I was trying to decide between the Volvo S60, the Audi A4, the new Acura TSX and a 2002 BMW 325i. I had tested the 2003 S60 and found it to be a little sluggish, but the 2004 was much peppier. I also like the small changes to the interior and, of course, the free scheduled maintenance. It's a fun, safe, solid car. Also, after wrangling with the dealership, I bought mine for just under invoice....
oops
bought the 2.4t liked the looks of it. Plenty of room up front with supportive seats, to bad the leather is falling apart after 3 months. Highway driving is noisy, lots of wind noise crap tires I bought the sport package with the 17" rims. When turning the wheel full lock the tires rub against wells. At times I feel like i'm driving a cheap car.
Awesome Car
Just took delivery two days ago and I absolutely love this sedan. The fit and finish is next to perfect and it handles great. It's the quietest car I've ever driven and although it only has the 2.4, it is quick and nimble enough for this 50 year-old.
