Great car!
This car is the best I have ever owned. It has the craftsmanship that European cars have sense lost and costs about as much as a Ford to fix! I drive all the time on long trips and it is very comfortable and reliable.
I am impressed
I bought this car in April 1999 from a co worker who father had own it and cound not longer drive. The car had just 30,000 miles and the price was right at $13,000. My plan was to drive it for a year or 2 & sell. Neary 4 years later and 50,000 miles and still going strong. I really like that fact the Volvo is one of the best put together cars on the road. This car is bulit very very solid.

Still Happy
Very good car. Excellent comfort.
Just Really Nice!
Overall wondeful car. No problems. enjoy the power of the turbo- faster than my Benz and handles better.
Best Bang for the Buck
Although kind of hard to find used, since no one who owns one seems to let them go, I found a 1994 940 with 147K on it for a fair price and put $1000 into it to get the full 30 and 50K service done on it. I fully expect to have no problems with the car for 3-4 years now, beyond typical maintenance, as these cars are solid, safe, comfortable and reliable. Repair labor and parts seem about the same as my Honda and used parts abound, at least in Portland, OR, probably the Volvo (and Subaru) capitol of the US. My minor quibbles: the air conditioning is not the best, even though I have a newer compressor and the sound system/speakers are not that great, even after I installed a new CD player.
