The 2025 Vinfast VF 8 is an electric five-passenger midsize SUV available in Eco and Plus trim levels. Both have dual-motor all-wheel-drive layouts with the same 87.7-kWh battery pack but differ in terms of motor output and range. The Eco produces 349 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque while providing a VinFast-estimated 256 miles of range. The Plus produces 402 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque and offers an estimated 235 miles of range.
Which VF 8 trim does Edmunds recommend?
If you're set on getting a VF 8, the Eco version is the better choice than the Plus. It's cheaper and has more range. You should also be satisfied with its collection of standard features. The Plus has more power and some additional features, such as ventilated front seats, but we don't think it's worth the added cost.
