Had mine for 3 years and never had an issue, always serviced on time at the dealer. Cleaned 2x a week. Love the power, travelled long distance, beautiful drive. My car and truck built into one vehicle. Fuel consumption was great. Ride was smooth.

I use this truck every day, often hauling only me and my pup. Weekends we are frequently hauling two kayaks, or towing a trailer with two Dual Sport motorcycles. Also haul firewood on the trailer, saws in the cargo area. I use this truck on fire roads, state forest roads, and game land roads - but I don't take it off road, and have never seen a need to modify it from the Toyota Engineers design. However, I traded this truck for a new 4Runner. As a final tribute to the Tacoma, I got more in trade value than I paid for it.

I have owned my 2018 TRD off road premium/tech for 11k miles and have enjoyed driving it. I had the dealer physically (not via computer) check the transmission level and it was a quart low. UPDATE now 28000 miles, runs great, just wish the cab was a bit taller, it would be easier to get in and out of the truck.
