The performance from this truck is the best. The services for 8yrs was only at Toyota Shop. Good MPG. Easy to drive. To many pro. The only con, I need more power.

The 2014 Tacoma TRD Off-road is a very solid truck. Ride and creature comforts should be better. No heated seats and CB leg room for a 6+ foot driver is limited and lacking. Uncomfortable on long drives for 6’ plus drivers. But this truck is a great vehicle- it has not had any mechanical problems or failures since new, over 150000 miles and not one single problem. Cannot complain about reliability and the materials used to build this truck. Seats, paint, and everything looks like new, 10 years later. Great job Toyota. I just wish it had little more leg room, heated seats, a steel chrome front bumper, and more adjustable seating. If you want a solid and extremely reliable truck - the Tacoma with the V-6 is the truck for you. Just do the routine maintenance (I’ve done nothing but oil changes, air filters, spark plugs, antifreeze change, transmission fluid changes, brakes discs and pads, tires, wax jobs, and batteries) and it won’t disappoint you. Mine still runs and drives like new. I hope the 4 banger with the turbo is just as reliable- I can’t believe Toyota went that direction since it doesn’t get any better mpg than my actual mpg of over 23 mpg combined city driving. Time will tell. For now go with the V6….

I have worked at automotive dealerships for over 40 years and have owned just about every make and model car and truck. Toyota's are excellent vehicles and after two 4-Runners and three Tacoma's later over the years my current 2014 is a vehicle I will just keep driving for as long as possible. I would not be happy with a 4-cylinder but love the 4.0 V-6.
