Used 1997 Toyota T100 Extended Cab Consumer Reviews
1997 Toyota T100 SR5 w/208,000 miles alr
I can't wait to say I have a quarter of a million miles on my truck. I drive it everyday both city and highway. I changed the front brakes twice and they are not any where needed yet. I changed the rears a third time only because the emergency brake cable froze. I have had two mufflers one I paid for and the second one was replaced by the dealer because they said any repairs they did was warrantied for life. No lightbulbs needed yet but I did revert to White Lights. Has the best headlights I have ever had on any vehicle. Rides great even on still original shocks. Minimum rust which I am getting fixed. Back bumper also needs replaced - rust. Overall I have been very pleased with my truck.
I love my Toyota T-100
I purchased my T-100 new in 12/97 and almost 6 years later I love it just as much as I did the day I bought it. I don't know why it wasn't such a hot seller back then because I could have sold mine at least 5 times in the past 2 years. People have actually left me notes on my truck asking me if I want to sell it. I haven't had any problems with it. It's excellent in the snow and the bed is big enough to haul whatever I want. My only complaint is the front of the truck is uneven, but you'd have to stare at it for awhile to notice this. This is an awesome truck and should definitely have a higher resale value.

Good, reliable truck
Bought new. Only major problem was rebuild of rear axle at 59K miles covered under powertrain warranty. Probably related to pulling boat at close to 5K tow rating limit. Consistantly gets around 19mpg. Seat belt retractors suck, they never worked right from new, but thats the only real complaint. Aftermarket accessories limited compared to American big 3.
Bought at 10 years old
Came to me with 144,000 miles on it. Drives great on the highway, straight and true and smooth. Takes the bumps like a pickup, but then that's what it's called. Previously owned a '79 4WD Toyota, and this is like a Cadillac to me. Reasonable sized rear bed with the extra back seat for shopping and inside packages. 4WD sits as tall as all it's bigger brothers and sounds great! My wife drove it into the end of the garage and with a new bumper and headlight, it looks the same as before. Tough truck!
