Used 1997 Toyota T100 Extended Cab Consumer Reviews
T100 It keeps running & running.
I purchased my T100 in Jan 1997 with the idea that I would use it to get back and forth to work and light hauling such as my 14ft. Alumnacraft boat. In almost 11 years of ownership it has never left me stranded. I've had two problems with the truck where the repair costs were over $150. The first was AC related and was covered by the standard warranty. The second repair was more of a wear issue, the valve cover gaskets needed replacing. The truck started leaking very small amounts of oil. All other repairs have been minor or routine maintenance. I'm selling the truck to a friend because he needs a reliable fuel efficient vehicle. Good luck finding one!
1997 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 extra cap
After many months searching for a 2000 and up Toyota Tacoma 4x4 I end up purchasing a 1997 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 extended cap. The truck is very affordable not like the Tacoma where I have to come up at least 10k plus for the same mileage. After owning the truck for a couple of weeks now, I am please to said I made a very good choice. The truck has 219k miles on it, but the motor sound very smooth and rans great. The 4x4 get in gear great, the body and suspension is solid. For the year and the condition of the Truck, The Toyota T100 was a truly built quality from Toyota.

Pretty Descent
My toyota has been a good little truck the only thing that has been wrong on it the brakes are not all that good and there has been a check engine sensor gone bad on it that the dealership wants 350$ dollars to fix it and that is out of the world . the truck overall i rate it at a 8.5 the truck is alsome fun to drive good power gas mileage could be a little bit better but all and all great all the way
Good Truck
I have had minor troubles with this truck. I have 85k miles on it and it runs like a top. A few frustrations have been the exhaust crossover pipe and the antilock brakes. The crossover pipe bolts came loose and made a terrible noise that took awhile to find the source of. (OK now) The antilock brakes, well, I just don't like them in general. Nothing particularly bad about Toyota's. All I can say is that it is a very good feeling knowing that you have a Toyota when the miles start climbing over 60k.
I love my truck
this truck is such a great vehicle, i have yet to get stuck and i got hunting, four wheeling and everything through the snow, rain, sleet, hail, and everything. i love my truck...i have been in a couple bang ups in it, and it still runs perfect with the dents and no repair. the seat belts work a little too perfect though, they always lock...which i guess is a good thing. i got the truck for my freshman year of high school and it has been with me through my graduation year. this year. and i will continue to take it to college. its a smart buy.
