I had the car for 10 years. 270k miles. We were just in a rollover accident on hwy, doing 70 mph. The whole family was in the car, we all walked away unharmed. GREAT car, comfortable, and it saved our lives. It was like losing a member of the family.

My father owned Toyota his entire life so I figured they were dependable vehicles. I bought a ‘00 Sienna van in 2011 for less than $3K (Texas) with little over 144K miles. I must say, this vehicle is amazing. It doesn’t feel boxy (owned a ‘94 dodge caravan), good reaction in turns/close calls, rain, etc. Routine maintenance, nothing major in over 5 years (other than a new radiator) I drive over 70+ miles daily and I have great MPG for a minivan. All and all, it has been a proven to be worth the money. I’ve traveled throughout Texas (From Corpus Christi, To Houston, Dallas to Odessa, even Oklahoma) No complains, no issues at all of this vehicle! Perform routine maintenance, clean her once a week (interior/ exterior) and she’ll take care of you better than the wife can... if only vehicle can cook. Cheers. Update 11-26-2021 Vehicle has been excellent. Once I reached 200,000 miles, I replaced the serpentine belt, my AC compressor (minor leak) shocks and cv/driver axel. Those parts weren’t necessarily bad but I wanted to have new parts starting 200K. I highly recommend these bulletproof vehicles!

We have 195K on ours that we bought used with 117K on it. Its a family hauler and has been on numerous trips on vacation and back and forth to school. I have owned Chevy, Mazda, Jeep, Chrysler and Honda and couldn't afford to keep them on the road. Toyota reliability is off the charts compared to the others. Now I have a 4Runner as well and it is as good as the Sienna. The van has a lot of amenities for the year. We are having the timing belt done on it now and plan on getting a lot of life out of it. Great vehicle. Low cost of operation.

Solid with Minor Hhiccups

Having owned it for close to 4.5 years, I am satisfied regardless of high price. Have had repeated skipping with the CD player but Toyota replaced it no questions asked. I've also had to bring it in twice to correct a design flaw that led to a blown rear heater line leaking fluid. One problem is the captains seat in center row have seatbelts that lock WAY too easy. Gas mileage has been less than I had hoped for, but the ride is smooth as ever and I love the ability to remove each seat individually, as well as hand controls on wheel for radio. I would say that I'm not 100% thrilled but am blinded by the ever-slick tranny and solid construction.

We purchased our 2000 Sienna about a year ago. It now has 112000 miles on it and runs great! We have not had any major problems, other than replacing brake pads. It drives very good, like a car, and it's roomy, the seats are very comfortable. It seems very solid and well built. I don't worry about reliability at all- it's a Toyota!! Great gas mileage for something bigger. Very easy to get in and out of with kids ! Very smooth ride. You just cannot beat Toyotas for reliability!!
