Used 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SUV Consumer Reviews
Good bang for the buck
Hybrid. Great car, safety, economy & reliability. Suggested improvement is my top of the line Limited lacks a CD player. Also, plastic Trim on interior doors on limited looks cheap, rear seat leg room better on Forester, folded rear seat on hybrid inclines vs. flat due to hybrid battery resulting in loss of 3 cubic feet of cargo space. Hybrid was only available at 0.9% vs. 0% for regular which is very good but why not incentivize environmental reward. Only $700. extra for hybrid which yields 8 more MPG. for highest in it's class. If you are looking for the best bang for the buck, get an XLE Rav4 vs. Limited. AC is great. Heater in winter gets warm, & has temp controls, but never gets really hot air coming out of vents you want in frigid weather after being warmed; even if you shut off the AC that defaults on at the same time. It does maintain desired temperature with controls well. Suspension stiff over bumps probably because its an SUV & more road noise vs. sedan. Great resell value.

Great if you want AWD+hybrid
great features, nice trim etc. Ride quality is underwhelming, no acceleration, fake brake feel. If you need practical AWD and want to save gas, go for it. If you like to drive, enjoy feeling the road, don't bother.

Repair Scam
We bought the car Sept.2016 and loved it until now with service regarding the AC drain. Apparently, due to the design of the AC unit, when the AC drain gets clogged, the water that should drain out of the AC unit will back up under the rug and under the mats of the driver and passenger seats until you discover the water. Bringing it to Toyota to find out what happened was a real eye opener. Apparently this happens alot, and no, they do not check the drain when you bring it in for the checkups. We were told that the only thing Toyota would do for us would be to dry out the carpet. Replacing the carpet is not covered under any warranty or extended warranty and it would cost $1000 to replace the carpeting. Toyota suggested we contact our car insurance agent to see about having the car insurance pay for the replacement of the carpeting as that would be covered (of course minus the deductible). What a scam! Toyota knows how to get away with not fixing a problem by having another company pay for it. We are not happy. We will never buy another Toyota again.

The RAV4 Hybrid exceeds my expectations
The vehicle is still running great. I have had no problems. I'm glad that I didn't purchase another Prius.

RAV4 rocks
Great car. Replaced Toyota Highlander and not disappointed at all. Very comfortable ride, with all the bells and whistles. I've taken two long road trips and have really enjoyed the comfort and conveniences of the RAV4. I thought it would be too small, but Toyota has done a wonderful job upgrading this vehicle in 2016. And the hybrid gives me great mileage. I would definitely recommend this vehicle to friends and family.
