I love it!
When you are sit at a red light, the internal combustion engine stops and you run just on electricity! It's like a golf cart. The car gives the feeling that it has stalled out, but it is fully functional! I LOVE that! I also love that if you run the car in Los Angeles, the exhaust is cleaner than the ambient air!!!! Not a month goes by that some stranger stops me and asks how I love it. And I do. It's a brilliant concept. They do it very well. Oil changes are every 7500 miles, and Toyota has paid for every one of mine. The only thing I have ever paid for is a new set of tires.
Yahooo!
This is a great car to own. Not only is it fun to drive with suprisingly good pick-up on freeways, it's gas mileage makes me smile as I see all of the hefty SUV's filling up at the station. If you are a commuter, this is the perfect vehicle. And you will waste no fuel when sitting in stopped traffic! This car requires the same maintenance as any other non-hybrid.

Soon to be in a Junkyard
This is my first car, as a teenager. I don't find that the car in general is horrible. I feel, my specific car is terrible. I had to purchase a battery pack to get this thing to go on a regular basis. If I hadn't it wouldn't start. As a teenager, it took me many hours to be able to buy this hunk of junk for 2500. I have had this car for about 3 weeks and it died on me today. I can't express the frustration I am feeling right now. I was scammed by a dealership into buying a car that wouldn't even last me a month-- ridiculous. The dealership even lowered the odometer, so I'm not even sure exactly how many miles is on it. The car is missing a cd player, and the battery is in the trunk in a very poor spot-- making it hard to jump the car. Overall, I am extremely peeved about my 2001 Toyota Prius.

Very Cool Car!
I felt good buying this car because of all of the environmental stuff but I really just wanted something that was reliable and had good gas mileage. What I got was much much more. Thanks Toyota for such a great experiance.
Great Little Tardus
The first thing that amazed me was getting inside--very roomy, though it looks small from the outside. It's a very light car, so performance depends upon the weight in the vehicle. But even with 4 people, it has plenty of getup and go. Full of gadgets. Great car. The fact that it is a hybrid just makes it that much better
