Can't go wrong

I would like to say that this is our first leather vehicle. Just as nice as our traded cloth Nissan. Highly impressive cockpit, road visibility, and totally quiet ride. My children love the DVD player, an added bonus no doubt. Rear reclining seats are a must. The whole no-key thing takes some getting used to. It's like the VISA of SUV's. Toyota has offered a level of refinement related closely to a lux cousin. You won't find another with more room, comfort, style, or versatility. A clear choice from any vehicle in its price range. You can't go wrong with this one.

Bought new and has been an enjoyable, functional and low mainteneve vehicle. Have seldom had this off road. Time to trade for a smaller car as I get older and kids are gone.

Solid Mid-size SUV

Considered Highlander and Chevy Traverse. Felt Highlander would be better for the long run. Like Captains seats in 2nd row. Very quiet ride and comfortable. Rear camera is nice feature. Good value for price paid.

Love this SUV. Lots of room inside. Carries 6 adults with no problems. Will carry 7 for short distances. Very quiet on the highway, and in town.

Rear tailgate problems

I purchased a used 2010 Highlander in July 2017. After owning 1 day the tailgate would not lift electronically. After waiting 2 weeks and returning for repair the dealer said originally i would have to pay repair of over $1300 dollars. After some negotiations I paid deductible of $200 to get repaired. I purchase this auto mainly for my husband. He is disabled and was having trouble riding in my Honda CRV. I waited over 10 years to "trade" cars, and would not have gotten a newer used car except for my husband's need for more comfort. Overall a nice SUV, however, watch out for that tailgate. If you go to Carcomplaints.com you will see this is the main concern with this particular Highlander. Be aware if you are contemplating the purchase of Highlanders.
