Lightweight, will last forever
This is a fabulous city car. If you are like me, and out for a long drive or a trip, well, this car will get you there, but get you there comfortably is another matter. I'm a nervous driver on very high speed highways with either wind or lots of traffic and trucks. This is where the car is not in my comfort zone. I'd feel safer in something that doesn't get blown around so easily, particularly at high speeds, something that feels solid on the road. That said, I've had virtually no repairs, the car is incredibly reliable and has been inexpensive to maintain. Then again, it is still a fairly low mileage car, but almost all of it is city driving which is harder on the car than highway miles. When I replace this car, it will be with a Camry. Like most modern cars, Toyota has chosen theoretical safety considerations (safety ratings) over actual driving conditions - which is to say, watch out when you are changing lanes cause you can hardly see a thing because of those big damn rear pillars which are meant to keep you safe in a rollover - which will never happen in most people's lives - but you can change lanes 10 or 20 times a day every day, so ultimately, it is more dangerous. They need better rear visibility - I suspect this is still the same in newer cars no matter the manufacturer.

Love my Corolla S
I looked for the vehicle for over 6 months and ended up at a dealership in used cars. First thing I noticed when I had them put the car up on the lift for inspection was a few drips of oil under the oil pan. The sales person assured me it was from the recent oil change. I kept an eye on it for a few weeks and it continued. Took the car to a nearby Toyota dealership and they found a leaking spot weld in the oil pan. Manufacturer warranty covered the replacement and I was good to go! The car is a great and gets 28-32 city and some highway driving in a big city. Very good handling and reliability is acceptable. Have only had to change oil and rotate tires.
Very Pleased
Purchased with 23700 mi.,at,cc,pl,pw for just under TMV price. Getting 30/38 city/hway mpg. Adequate power, quiet, like the visibility, head room, ground clearance, ease of access, ride. I am expecting excellent reliability.
Great Car
3000+ mile trip. 39.9 MPG with automatic transmission and A/C running in June. Gets 28 to 31 MPG in city. Most economical car I have ever owned. Battery failed at 26000 miles. Out of state dealership paid tow and battery at no charge. Couldn't ask for better service and I can't fault any company about a defective battery.
05 Corolla CE
Great car! Good acceleration and acceptable stereo. Only undesirable interior design factor I have found is driver side right arm rest. There's not much too it and it's kind of awkward to have you arm rest on it. Out of 10, overall, I give the Toyota Corolla CE a 9.5!
