I've hit so many things like curbs and walls, and there was never any damage to the car what so ever.

Just got this car, and it is has been a very pleasant surprise so far! I only wish that cruise and power windows were standard, but otherwise very good quality for the money.

Not a Toyota

Had a 2004 Corolla rental for one day, really hated it! Only two things worth mentioning, extremely quiet and very rommy inside. Other than that, it is pretty much a GM product. Ride motion and body control is the worst I have ever seen. Toyota Echo rides much better! Engine power is weak and the A/C was blowing out cool air instead of cold air!

3-week impression

impressions are all positive. Good quality materials for the interior. Manual shifter takes some breaking in as well: at first, downshifting from 5th to 4th was a bit awkward, but not anymore. Nice handling and great fuel mileage. Overall, a very decent car that is great for everyday use as a car for people who drive a lot or those who would like to buy a car and forget the hassle of owning a gas guzzler. There isn't enough said about how a fuel- efficient car improves one's outlook on gasoline prices. You simply stop to notice them. My car so far is getting 32 mpg in the city. 40 is the norm on the highway.

GO COROLLA

I traded in my 2003 Honda Element for the new 2004 Toyota Corolla S Type. The Element was not fuel efficient at all and didnt handle weather conditions well. Also, there were many blind spots in the vehicle especially when you stow the back seats. The moon roof and back windows were too far back to reach. Everything but the front windows and side mirrors was manual. Corolla had it all including daytimer light switch, passenger seat belt alert, moon roof upfront, awesome stereo system, and the look and feel of a luxury car.
