Paint is a problem

The paint on the corrola is easily damaged. I got hit by an egg the second week I had it .I Washed the egg off as soon as I came home. There was already chips off the paint on the passenger door by the handle from the egg. I remember as a teenager My AMC pacer got hit by eggs and I did not wash them off till a few days later and nothing happened to that paint!Luckily it drives, runs and looks much better than the Pacer! The only other problem I have is when I run the AC it fogs up my windshield on humid days. It goes well on he highway. The gas mileage is great especially on the highway. The added size gives it a nice overall comfort.

I read EDMUND reviews before buying the 2003 Corolla and saw all the comments about the sun visor hitting the mirror. FYI - there is nothing wrong with the sun visor hitting the mirror. The mirror has 2 joints you can adjust. One attaches mirror to arm and arm to windshield. Move the arm of the mirror 1/4 inch to the right and you are good to go! Hope this helps!

This is a nice one among the leading sub-compacts on the market. Only the Civic comes close in the total package. The redesign looks great and MUCH better than the '02 model. The '03 looks just like the Lexus IS and the tailights are a nice touch! A few more improvements and there is not much to not like about the Corolla.

I bought my Corolla in 11/02. I previously had a Saturn and was unimpressed by the service and the car. I love the look and only qualms are the awkward position of the driver seat with the steering wheel and dash. I have to reach to push the buttons and I am a short person. The car's quiet and smooth though jerky on windt days. Gas mileage is disspointing. City driving:27mpg, and highway:33. Still waiting for the tank to run with a 40mpg avg. The car is a great deal, good quality, I feel very safe and am proud of my car!

I bought my 2003 Corolla LE in June of this year and still haven't decided if it was the right decision. The handling is very poor on the highway and on windy days. There is a problem in the delay of the acceleration of the gas pedal. Not enough leg room on the drivers side. I'm short and my knees almost touch the dash. Visor hits mirror even with moving it over. Poor visibility out rear view mirror due to the headrests. It may get great gas mileage and is very sharp looking, but I have to question the safety aspects of this vehicle with the confined space on the drivers side.
