Why Corolla is The Most Reliable

I have 103000 miles on my 03 LE Corolla. This LE will last 400,000 miles just by changing the trans fluid every 10,000 ml, oil at 3,000 ml, spark-plugs at 10-15 months. Tires when worn. The higher wheel base keeps the car from scraping the curb. You can also repair (or find mechanics to repair this car) very cheaply! With premium or high octane gas I get 34cty/40hwy. And I drive at speeds of 70+ mph! The speakers are fine but I hate the lame radio/DVD which is too hard to swap out! And the space doesn't accommodate any of the popular MP3 players! The larger headlights are a welcomed improvement. And the higher door and head room is a great improvement for my bike and computer stuff.

reply to SAMSUN79 I had identical problem with brakes slipping while waiting at red lights dealership stated they couldn't duplicate it. Also while Corolla CE is parked on a downward sloped driveway, the suspension creaks loudly when exiting vehicle & I only weigh 115lbs. dealership also couldn't duplicate this ...the hype has warn down a bit since FEB 2002

Serious crosswind problem

I tested the new 2003 Corolla several times during the windy condition. The transmission is smooth, turning is accurate, acceleration is good, and gas mileage is excellent for a small call with lots of interior space. But do not drive it over 65 MPH in northeastern states during the winter time. The car can change one line at strong crosswind. I don't recommend to drive this car when passing a truck, raining day, or wintery condition. It's just unsafe. Like the previous model, the body is too wide and the tires are too narrow cause the car unstable in high speed.

Well, Husband wrecked our 1996 Corolla; we loved that car, so why buy anything else but another Corolla. We were going to get either a used 2001 or '02 model but we test drove the '03 Corolla CE first and then an '02 and it couldn't compare. It was love at first drive pretty much. Corny, I know, but it truly is a good buy. Toyota is such a reliable car and I am just loving our White Corolla CE 5 Speed
