Disappointment

Having bought Toyota in the past and knowing of corolla reliability and fuel economy we purchased ours used from a dealer with 60000kms on it. I drive all highway. It has cost us a transmission rebuild (it's a manual) for differential bearings and now tranny won't shift into fourth all the time. Wheel bearings go quickly and car is so loud from wheel/bearing noise you have to yell to be heard. I'm done with Toyota.

I would have to say the carolla has come a long way! I was soo impressed by the look and feel of this car that I was sold almost immediately. The power of this 4-cylinder especially impressed me. Coming from a V6 on a 1994 car, I was a little worried that a 4-cylinder would drag. Not so, this little car packs a punch. I would recommend the sporty beauty to anyone looking for a reliable car with a glamorous look.

It caught my eye on the lot and after test driving it, I had to have it. It has great pick up for a small car, is comfortable to ride and drive and I had lots of heads turn when I first drove it.

It's really powerful on it's class for 130hp than other japanese cars. nice interior and exterior, rally-feel suspension and dashboard. the car come with front and rear stabilizer bars and it is very good on cornering but only for dry condition. it is extreamly dangerous on wet condition because the car come with firestone tire. my car was having a short distance skid when i step on the brake on wet condition on the second day after i got the car. i'll upgrade the tire to either yokohama or turanza and 16-inch alloy wheel rather than 15- inch since the car got no ABS.

Passed on the Civic, Great Decision!

I was a loyal Honda owner... family owns Civics and Accords, previous car was a Civic, etc. So naturally, I test drove Accords and Civics first when looking at a new, fuel efficient car. Stumbled on the Corolla and was surprised and excited. The Civic felt cheap and "plastic-y", the Corolla felt much more comfortable, had better fuel effieciency and acceleration, and looks sportier. I chose the Corolla and am so happy that I did! It's been nearly two months now and I am truly in love with my car!! I'd recommend it to any loyal Honda owner in a second.
