Not Too Happy

Lisa, 02/27/2023
2023 Toyota Camry XSE 4dr Sedan AWD (2.5L 4cyl 8A)

I purchased the 2023 Toyota Camry XSE in August 2023. While the body is nice, I was very disappointed in the upgraded JBL sound system. Also, the noise level while driving. The service was also disappointing. The tire pressure has not been checked no time I went in for service in Orland Park as that is suppose to be a given. My tires all had a different pressure. Just not happy overall.

Fair experience

Front end scrapes easy. Space is tight being a mid-size sedan. Camry is still a boring experience. Good fuel economy. Good trade in value. Reliable. Good, no-drama vehicle. Paid MSRP with 2.49% financing. Traded in for a Subaru.

Smooth and Quiet

Looked at all types of vehicles. Looking for a smooth non-jarring ride with excellent fuel economy. Didn’t want anything turb charged. Certainly didn’t want a CVT transmission. Sold a 17 camry that I had for five years. 23 Camry LE checked all the boxes. Car is a dying breed. Smooth shifting 8-speed. First full tank averaging 38 mpg. Base car but not giving up many features. Well done toyota. On the minus side they are everywhere. But now I know why.

Another 20 years?

It's a Toyota. The car itself has a nice ride, could have gone for the V6 but this is the wife's car and not needed. Have not had it long enough to give an in depth review yet, but what I have observed from the ride, the looks, the Info center, bluetooth, phone and other device chargers, 2 years of maintenance, black leather seats, nice Gray Mica color, it looks like it is going to be another long term car. We had an 02 Acura TL Type S that was 21 years old but someone ran a red light and totaled it. I have an 02 Tundra still going strong. Hopefully we'll get like years out of this one.

Superb cruiser!

Pro’s 1) XSE V6 for $5k under MSRP 2) Silky smooth V6 and trans. Last generation V6 that is basically bullet proof at this point 3) Perfectly damped suspension feels glued to the road. Soaks up bumps beautifully, like a cloud 4) Totally stable highway cruiser that is quiet and smooth. 5) Ice Cap white is such a unique color. In direct sunlight appears white and then cement grey at other times 6) Upscale interior with tasteful blue led lights on glovebox and armrests. Gauge cluster is both analog and digital, with a cool red background. Heads up display is super clear even in direct sunlight.Headlights are also extremely bright and light up the road well. Panoramic roof is badass and creates unique and memorable experience. Also extremely quiet when fully open, well done Toyota. 7) Dual injection D4S system provides all the benefits of both direct and port injection. 8) No ridiculous and unnecessary start/stop feature or variable cylinder management 9) No CVT 10) No problematic turbo Con’s: 1) Fuel economy could be better but honestly don’t care, the v6 is incredible! 2) Compared to the 2020 accord sport interior is more cramped/intimate. 3) Skinny leather steering compared to Accord. Takes some getting used to but no big deal. 4) High schoolish styling. 5) Smaller trunk than 2020 accord sport 6) Body panel gaps not the tightest 7) Higher insurance rates than Accord Sport
