Slow acceleration then whiplash

I have this as a rental while my Mazda 6 GT is at the collision shop (elderly lady backed into me). I’m shocked how underwhelming the Toyota Camry is compared to my Mazda 6 which was basically the same price. The interior is cheap looking, no power passenger seat, terrible sound system and no push button ignition. The car handles well but acceleration is dangerously slow but sounds like it’s towing a boat up hill! The road noise is awful and again, compared to my car, it’s super “base model” at an LE. There are many alternatives that look, feel, and drive luxuriously for the same price.

Already sounds rough

This is my 5th Toyota Camry and I’m so disappointed. Terrible road noise, front end scrapes easily and the car sounds like it’s about to break down. I bought the LE model, not wanting all the bells and whistles this time. The seats are cheaply made and incredibly uncomfortable, the car sounds hollow when I close the doors. What a hunk of junk. I bought this car brand new and have only put 3,000 miles on it. I’m ready to sacrifice my down payment in order to trade it in for a different car. I loved my 2017 Camry but the 2023 Camry doesn’t seem like it’s going to last long. Do better, Toyota.

2023 Toyota Camry SE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)

My expectation and reality did not match. The ride was VERY noisy on the highway, I kept thinking a window was cracked open. Slow to gain speed. I felt a little unsafe in 5 o'clock surface street traffic. Android auto/ caraway is not wireless. Bluetooth audio sounded weird. Gas milage was awesome though. Engine noise seemed loud as well

My normal car is in the shop after I hit a curb. Its a 2021 KIA K5 EX with the Tech package, basically its loaded. I was in a Corolla for six weeks and got tired of the noise so I asked for a switch. The Camry SE is quieter than the Corolla and of course larger in every way. I took the car on a long 3.5 hour one way trip within days and noticed the following. The gas mileage is great on the highway 38 MPG. The driver seat became uncomfortable after 1 hour of driving. I mean uncomfortable. The Camry is very quiet at a stop and smooth surfaces. However on coarse roads its not. My K5, on the same trip, was night and day more comfortable. Even my passenger, who took both trips, had a similar observation in comfort. I had the Camry on my short list of cars to purchase once my K5 was at 75K miles. However this version of the Camry is now off the list. My observed MPG is good in city, 31 MPG. If you are a person who needs a taxi driver car this might not fit your needs. I'd be concerned about driver seat comfort and road noise.

2023 Toyota Camry XSE 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 8A)

From a 2010 V6 XLE to a 2023 V6 XSE. The bump from 270 hp to 301 is very noticeable. A capable sedan that instills confidence on the road and manages to turn heads. Only steps away from a Lexus, the XSE trim is well appointed and solidly put together. Sport tuned suspension keeps the car stable around tight turns with minimal body roll. The 8th generation Camry is bound to be timeless in aesthetics and reliability. Toyotas conservative approach to tech means well thought out and increased longevity. The V6 with direct and port injection is a home run for efficiency , power and engine health. One can not go wrong with this automobile.
