I had may new vehicle's over year's more than I have need Ford's chevy dodge on the dodge I learned real fast is that if you want to get Ram,ed buy two dodge 3500 HD trucks. So I owned five Camrys over the years and this is the best one I have ever had 42 miles per gallon, smooth ride and easy to drive and many safety features But if the most important thing in your life is your smart phone then the car is not for you. In my case phone's are not. So the best all round car ever.

Be sure not to buy the scout GPS system, Needs a cell phone and eats data . Entire Scout GPS system and radio system suck. My vehicle is a 2018. Nothing has changed since my last review, the GPS system is still terrible. Other than the vehicle is outstanding. Also this is a 2018 Camry, not a 2017, please correct your information.

What a Disappointment the 2018 Camry has been

Walt Seiberling, 11/18/2018

Where to start.....window stops going up after hitting a speed bump during rainy days. Think this might be due to moisture in the front doors. Squeaky doors now. Big knock in transmission when put in reverse. Transmission problems when accelerating and during cruise control. Entune... junk. That's all I have on that. I use my phone now and the FM radio if I'm lucky it works. Saw another post about noise at 40mph. I got that problem too. Squeaky breaks just started about a month ago. Dealership is no help. Door edge guards come off. Dealership tries to fix it but now I have paint chips on the edge of my doors. Mind you this is a 2018, 1 year old car. Toyota has cut so many corners they now produce a horrible product. Dont buy it!

I was very disappointed when I test drove the 2018 Camry. I cannot believe there was no CD player! I would never buy another Camry again if they do not have cd players. I currently have a 2014 Camry XLE with a cd player and navigation and really like it. I see the 2018 as a huge downgrade from my 2014. In addition to the lack of a cd player the leather seats are very disappointing. The 2014 has nice soft real leather, the 2018 seats feel like cheap plastic. The 2014 navigation system is easy to use, the 2018 has to be paired with some stupid phone app. I do not understand how Toyota has fallen so far so fast. I would NEVER EVER buy a car without a cd player. I just read that the Altima has cd player in all its 2018 models. I guess its goodbye Toyota for me after 20 years of owning Toyotas!

Who’s surprised so many whiners today?

I’ve been driving 25 years anything and everything with wheels. I’ve had Honda Mitsubishi Chevys Fords Dodge etc.. all different makes and models. This 2018 Camry Se is hands down the nicest vehicle I’ve owned and driven to date. It handles tightly and smoothly. It has amazing safety features, and they all have been tested and actually work ! I’ve read online about the 8 speed trans having shifting problems. I’ve had 0 issues with it. ... 0... and have had 0 “shiftshock” issues it shifts the way it’s designed, to give the driver MAXIMUM gas mileage in city and traffic conditions. You can take it out of Eco mode if you want and it won’t search for the gears to keep fuel consumption low but make no mistake it’s doing it’s designed job.. to keep fuel consumption low by keeping the RPM’s low. I drive mainly rural and highway and it glides and has more than enough pep to get out of its own way, and pass other vehicles quickly. It’s like sitting in a cockpit of an airplane. Beautiful car and ride. Very happy with It. The infotainment is fine for me The biggest complaint I have on the interior is no heated seats in it. Atleast the 2018 Se model doesn’t . The car warms up so fast though it’s not even an issue really. There’s some road noise on certain types of pavement I’ve noticed subtle differences on occasion but I think it’s mainly New Jersey roads rather than the cars design. The trunk is very large and opens automatically when you hit the button which is nice when your hands are full. I love the auto headlights that switch to high and low beams on their own it’s an awesome feature. There’s no CD player and really who cares with the way we stream music through our phones now. Maybe if you want a CD player you would want a record player and 8 track deck along with a trailer to tow your dinosaur. 😂! It’s a great reliable good looking fun car. I recommend it. Happy hunting !
