Used 2007 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
Pretty happy
After driving a BMW that was braking down at least once a month, and after so much money spent to fix, I am Pretty shocked by some of the reviews Ive read. I have not had any problems with my Camry after almost 4 years and 95,000 miles. never the less I have never done anything to the car but oil changes every five thousand miles. It does have a small rattle on the dashboard and may have to change the rotors soon but after 95000 miles well id have to anyway. Now after reading this reviews I wonder if I should start looking into a different car before I hit 100,000 miles. I was hoping to get a V6 Camry but now Im hesitant.
LE V6 189K Update
After i hit 189K the transmission went out. The engine still runs very strong, but it to needs to have two out of the four fuel air sensors replaced which would be $200.00 for one and $300.00 the other two if and when they would go out also cost $$$. The transmission dealer told me it would be around $3100.00 to fix trans, but the car is only valued at around $2000.00 to $4500.00 because of the mileage. I drove the car mostly on the highway putting on around 40K to 50K each year. Just pickup my new 2011 Camry 4 with a 6 speed trans LE model. Will update on this one soon, but as far as the old one goes she was good to me overall. Read the other reviews that i wrote from the beginning for info

not so hot
Bought this car thinking it would be a 10 year car. It is now 3.5 yrs old and don't think the car will last past its 5th birthday. The transmission is sick. The dealer isnt the greatest (Servco Pacific). To get warranty work done to fix the jerky transmission is like pulling teeth. Hawaii is warm and poorly designed ac gets smelly. To put a redesigned ac to prevent mold growing, they are going to charge me $338 for a $270 part. Last time I checked, Hawaii is part of the US but according to the dealer, they are not part of the us and can charge whatever they like. Trim panels and rattles will drive you crazy. If you buy used, look up all tech service bulletins and get it fixed!
My New 10 year old '07 Camry
I just "inherited" this car from my wife when we purchased a new SUV. It is an '07 SE V6 Model, sunroof, leather, alloys, ect, with 59,000 miles. Over the 10 years of ownership, I have driven it only for long trips. Originally we were going to sell it and purchase something with high mpg, since I have to drive 100 miles round trip for work. But once I started driving daily, while we searched for a replacement, I fell in love with this Camry, esp the 34 mpg highway mileage (60 mph top speed). The V6 (14.3 sec 1/4 mile times according to numerous magazine tests) is incredible. Very fast. Smooth ride and very quiet. The only complaints I have, keeping in mind it is a 10 year old car, is the super white paint and the low height of the car. Seems like I am sitting on the ground as I drive, although part of that is my previous ride was a 4x4 Tundra which is quite a bit higher than the Camry. The white paint, and I have taken excellent care of and waxed this car often since purchase, appears to have developed a haze and chips very easily on the hood. I have read numerous other complaints about the white and believe it is a factory defect. But, for 10 years old, it is what it is. Love this car!!!!

Buyer Beware!! Don't be fooled by Toyota legacy
I own the 07 Camry which has excessive oil consumption issue. See…http://www.toyotaproblems.com/trends/excessive-oil-consumption/. Toyota recongnized the problem but will not repair the issue under warranty. They declined our car even when we brought the car in at 59,508 when we noticed the car was using 1 qt of oil each 1,000 miles. They did repair the issue on some camry's and then stopped the warranty once they realized how many camry's have this issue. It should be a recall on the failed piston rings and Toyota should repair. There is a class action suite against Toyota but little or NOTHING will be done for the individual owners. Shame on Toyota for failing to take care of a manufacture's issue.
