Used 1998 Toyota Avalon Consumer Reviews
My Last toyota
I boutght toyota because of its reputation for quality. Haven't had any problems unitl this year. I had to pay over $700 to get the climate control fixed. I plan on trading it off. No more Toyota cars for me.
What a car!
I never really thought that we would be able to afford a car as luxurious as the Toyota Avalon. Well, it turns out we can, although the car we bought was pre-owned. The amenities in this car are fabulous. It has everthing, at a price that was truely affordable. I hope that we continue to be as happy with it as we are now.
My toyota Avalon is 25 years old and has 208K mile
Having driving this car for a quarter of a century and never once parked it in a garage, I can only say great things about the car. I am beleaguered every day with the need to buy or lease a newer with all of the new safety features but I love my Avalon and when the brakes go, I replace them. When tires wear out, I get new ones but the basic power train has never given me a problem. I got my moneys worth from this car and I would gladly share this information with Toyato so that they can show the publicc that their cars last
My experience.
Most comfortable and well performing car I have ever owned.
Avalon built in USA - No good
This Avalon was built in Kentucky with good 'ol union labor...and it shows! The dealer delivered the vehicle with the rear middle seat belt BEHIND the rear seat backrest! The front seat belts have to manually feed back into their slots. The front armrest was replaced twice under waranty. My wife was injured by the parking brake foot lever when she was in a minor accident ? her shin bode hit the peddle which bruisded the bone. The drive train sometimes jerks in stop 'n go traffic or taking off from a dead stop. Finally, the tire noise is so bad...rear seat occupant ALWAYS complain about the noise! What a lousy car for $28 grand!!
