Used 1998 Toyota Avalon Consumer Reviews
Best buy for your money
Larger than a Lexus ES300. This car is a dream. Everything fits together perfectly (made in Kentucky, btw). No problems in the 89000 miles on my car. Still runs like new.
The Good and Bad... mostly Good
This car excels in being reliable, dependable, and performance. It has good visibility with no measurable blind spots. Seats seem to be made for smaller framed people. Feels like I'm sitting on a stool. Right elbow doesn't reach the armrest in the drivers position. I rated the quality a 7, even though I think the engine quality is excellent, the exterior quality of the metal is weak. A slight tap on the panels will create a dent.
Good Car
I bought my Avalon used in 2002. So far the only maintenance problem I've had is that the check engine refuses to go out. I've a few mechanics look at it, and no one can seem to find the problem. Other than that, it has been an excellent vehicle. Strong engine, with OK mileage.
Great car!
A true trouble free car that is a delight to drive. If you want to get away from a stop sign fast, this is the car for you. It has good looks and good fuel edonomy.
My Last toyota
I boutght toyota because of its reputation for quality. Haven't had any problems unitl this year. I had to pay over $700 to get the climate control fixed. I plan on trading it off. No more Toyota cars for me.
