Buy the KDSS

Our Offroad Premium with KDSS is just spectacular. We opted for sunroof delete for increased headroom. No typical sway while driving. The 4Runner is basic compared to many other offerings. It's also rated for well above average reliability and resale value. Ride and comfort are great. Visibility is above average for any vehicle in this class/size. Blind Spot monitoring is not available. Problem solved with $5 blind spot stick on mirrors. Immediately after purchase our area had a decent snow storm. 4Runner handled the snow with ease. It could either use more power or lose 500lbs. We bought the 4Runner for it's top rated reliability and dead simple drivetrain. I can deal with the lack of power.

I totally love my new 4Runner! I am mostly a city driver, but am also an avid outdoorsman. This is the perfect balance for me. The ride is much smoother and quieter than my previous Xterra. The cargo room is fantastic; I can even sleep in it when on a hunting trip. It handles city corners very well and also is a beast in the off road mountain trails.

Just an all-around excellent vehicle. Great visibility, smooth ride, and quite comfortable. The optional KDSS is worth every penny - especially in city driving. Tons of interior space, and the off-road capability is tough to beat.

4 YEAR FINAL REVIEW of 2017 TRD PRO OFF ROAD

Coming up to 1 year ownership and I could not be more happy with my 4Runner. Coming off of a Land Rover I Love the reliability aspect of the 4Runner (the Rover was a continuous rash of issues...). Made a bunch of mods on this truck and a few more to go - but that’s part of the appeal...you can make it unique and one of a kind! Think Wrangler BUT dependable! Update: Owned now for about 1.5 years - it’s been flawless! Have been doing various mods on it which further enhances the vehicle. 100% satisfied with this truck! THREE years already! Still love my rig as much as the day I bought it. Zero issues as expected ******************************************************************************************* FOUR year review 39,000 miles and still in love with this truck. Guess this could be my forever vehicle after all ! Only thing that was an issue was the hood release -- needed to be replaced due to it not functioning correctly. Extremely glad I decided on this vehicle as opposed to a jeep - its a very reliable and attractive ride! Interested to see the next generation but i doubt very much that i will trade up ... why? ***FINAL REVIEW *** I have just traded in my 4runner (for a 2021 Tundra). Final thoughts are these: 1) what a great looking reliable truck (i have owned luxury vehicles including benz, bmw, land rover and this vehicle got more looks and comments than all the others 2) one minor issue in the 4.5 years of ownership (hood release mechanism failed) 3) the invoice price in 2017 was $40,500 and I received on paper $37,000 for the trade in - unbelievably great resale. Basically after tax savings on the trade i was at initial purchase price! Tell me another car manufacture that can show me that... 4) great all around vehicle - fun to drive Summary: I would do this vehicle again over and over. I just needed a bigger truck to do occasional hauling otherwise i would still have. LOVED IT

Why a mechanical fan

I love this truck. comfirble ride on and off the road my only gripe is the stock mechanical radiator fan which robes you horsepower , mpg , sluggish take off and cooling at a stop. there is a reason 95% of new vehicles come with electric fan. it is a easy fix to swap the fan out and i suggest you do so if you want a better ride all around.
