Used 2005 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
2005 Toyota 4Runner SR5
Reliability, comfort and ease of driving. A smooth ride.
Love my 4-runner
I test drove the 4-runner and couldn't believe how smooth it was compared to other years I test drove it. I went through this winter with it. Handled really well. Although I would have wanted Michelin tires on this one and it has Goodrich. Not happy with them in the snow.

Love it!
We needed to replace our Xterra as we were concerned about overall safety and stability. After reading on Edmunds how the 4Runner was redesigned in 2003 to widen the stance and improve handling, stability, safety, performance and fuel economy. We had to try it. We drove it and instantly knew that this vehicle would serve multiple purposes--it was safe enough to cart the toddlers around and rugged enough to take anywhere. We love all of the standard features, but most of all we love how solid this vehicle feels and how well it drives.
Glad I got it
Well built, low road noise. Nicely equipped standard features.
My 2005 4Runner Review
I have always liked the 4 Runner's,so I bought an 05 in January.I really like the look and feel. Has lots of interior room and features. It runs very well with lots of power. I have already had problems with mine though. My sun roof got a glitch in the computer which was easily repaired. At 1,000 miles the rear brakes started making a groaning sound. I had one rear rotor replaced because it was glazed at 1K miles. I have taken it to my dealer 4 times for the brake noise. The last time I was told that ALL the 05 4Runner's make that sound and that pretty much I would just have to deal with. I called 2 other dealers to ask if they have had that problem, one said yes the other said no.
