I traded in my 2002 Jeep Liberty on a new 4 runner SR5 with the V8 so I could more easily tow my boat. My old Liberty is a cattle car compared to my 4Runner. In virtually every way its a superior vehicle. Rides great and very quiet. The V8 is smooth as silk and gets better gas mileage than the v6 in my liberty did. Interior/exterior quality is as good as it gets off the assembly line. I've yet to find a flaw. This thing drives exceptionally stable. Try an emergency avoidance maneuver in any other SUV may scare the heck out of you. The 4Runner handles this well and inspires confidence. You know where its gonna go. That was not the case for my old liberty

Bought because of midsize and solid reputation. My wife loves it and I hate it.V8 engine will get you there in a hurry but to me the car is uncomfortable to drive.Fuel mileage is not all that great either.Worst thing I've found about the car is the wind noise from the roof racks.I took the cross bars off and it helped a little.HVAC is awkward to use while driving

This SUV is the best buy for the money. The V8 is supurb. I avg. about 20 mpg. It handles great on the road and it's quiet. Fit and finish on the vehicle is top notch. I was considering a Nissan Murano before I took a look at the 4Runner. I'm glad I did!. I was also looking at the Honda Pilot, but the dealers weren't budging from MSRP, plus the lack of styles and colors at the lots. The 4Runner is a great SUV, I recommend it!

The new 4 Runner has a much more comfortable ride than the older models. No bouncing feeling on the road. The vehicle is very stable. The 3rd row seating is great for kids. Not enough foot room for adults. Telescoping Steering wheel would be great for SR5 but not offered unless you scale up to a sport or limited model. Sharp appearance. Plenty of room. The vehicle will tow well and towing hitch is standard. Be careful with towing hitch. Some models come with 7500 LB tow hitch and others come with 5000 LB hitch. The 7500 LB hitch comes with transmission cooler located inside the front grill.
