Used 2004 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
My truck
Bought this SUV Thanksgiving weekend. It was great for this year's snowstorms in NYC. I was glad to upgrade from my reliable Camry to this truck. The gas mileage is horrible but you should expect that with any SUV of this size. I've gotten 2 cracks in the windshield already from driving on the highway this winter. I don't know if it is the angle of the windshield or the highway road conditions in NJ or what. Maybe the angle of the windshield? Maybe just bad luck? This happened within the first 1500 miles. Overall the SUV handles very well. It can make quick U-turns and it is very responsive.

Who says an SUV can't get great mileage?
I have owned nothing but Toyota for over 20 years and they just keep getting better. This is the third 4 Runner that I have owned. I'm all for American, but first of all, most Toyota's have American parts or are made in America. Also, when American car makers start making them as reliable as Toyota, I may change.
Absolutely Terrific!
I've owned 4 Pathfinders, two Blazers, two Tahoes, and a Jeep Wrangler--there is absolutely no comparing these SUVs with my new 4Runner. This vehicle tracks better, rides better, and gets better fuel economy (21.1 avg for first 2,900 miles) than any sport utilty I've driven. I also own a 2003 Honda S-2000 and a 2004 BMW 330ci, but I find myself driving the 4Runner every chance I get!!!
best midsize SUV
Easy and comfortable to drive and its exterior design what i like most.
