The 2026 Tesla Model Y is a fully electric small crossover SUV. It is initially sold in the dual-motor all-wheel-drive Launch Series configuration, which is similar to last year's fully loaded Long Range All-Wheel Drive version.
Which Model Y trim does Edmunds recommend?
At the time of publication, there's only one version of the New Model Y available, and it's called the Launch Series. There are no stand-alone options or packages — even the typically optional so-called Full Self-Driving suite of advanced driving aids is standard. The only real choices to make are which paint and interior color combo you'd like and whether to go with 19-inch wheels (327 miles of range, per Tesla) or 20-inch wheels (303 miles).
