Beware of the CVT transmission :(
This car was one of the first cars with the push-to-start technology, before that technology was hashed out, so while I had this car, dozens of times I was faced with a car that wouldn't start because of a dashboard error code causing the on/off engine button to not operate. This was very frustrating but other than this quark I loved this car. BUT...after about 3 months of owning the car the entire transmission went out. All of the quotes, including sourcing a used one, were more than I bought the car for so the car was essentially totaled. I have owned cars with conventional automatic transmissions my whole life and have never had a transmission problem, this was my first CVT car, and within 3 months the transmission goes out. Beware of the CVT version of this car. If CVT's aren't perfectly and properly maintained they'll just go out on you. I put 1 star reviews on anything relating to the car operating, because this car is currently sitting in a junk yard. Very sad because if this car just had a normal automatic transmission I'm betting this little 4 cylinder motor would have ran just fine for ages. I loved the little button this car had to turn it from FWD to AWD. Loved the sound system, loved the seats, loved the styling. Too bad.

Excellent car. Nothing better for the price
I've owned and still own a few late Mercedes and Bmw's Even with my german cars experience, I can definitely say THIS CAR IS AWESOME!. Period! Yes, a few flaws, there are no perfect cars anywhere. but for the price you pay, the thing is amazing. Suspension: PERFECT Brakes: ONE OF THE BEST BRAKES I EVER TESTED Driving dynamics: I won't say its a BMW or a Mercedes, but its close, its wayyyyy over what you get from Toyota or Honda, but its still not a BMW... The price isn't either. Steering: Precise and sporty, love it.!

Still smiling!!
I only stopped at the dealer for an appointment for an oil change for my Chevy HHR.The next thing I know, I bought a Kizashi!! I love browsing the lots,so my Chevy dealer is also a Suzuki dealer. And there it was! Tucked in between a bunch of Chevys, a black Kizashi. He says how do you feel about this one? It looks nice I said."Would you like for me to get the keys?" I said yeah, sure. But if I get the keys, you'll have to test drive it! Yeah, whatever I said. MAn, did I have a ball!! He went with me and showed me a twisty backroad which I never knew existed! God does that baby handle great!! I thought it was the AWD version, that's how great it felt!
Love this car
The Kizashi was on my short list to test drive, along with the new Optima. I drove the Optima first. Then I got in the Kizashi and the Optima quickly became a fuzzy memory. This car is fun to drive, the design and quality of the interior is top-notch, and its looks get compliments everywhere. Power is adequate for my needs. It is larger than it looks in pictures. Rear seat room is a bit less than most competitors, but four adults fit comfortably. The seats are well shaped and supportive, even in back, unlike the rear seat in the Optima which felt low, flat and dark.
Opinion Changer
This car totally changes my opinion against Suzuki vehicles. I used to own a Suzuki XL-7 4WD Limited. It left much to be desired in many ways and as a result I traded it in with a Nissan after owning it for just a short time while it was still in a pretty good condition. I thought I would never buy a Suzuki again. Lo and behold I came across this beautiful car by chance. Both my wife and I love this car. Its look - both the interior and exterior - is quite pleasing to the eyes. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The performance is surprisingly exciting. Not to mention that you get possibly the best bang for your buck. The bottom line is, this is really a great car and worth looking into.
