do your homework. work with reliable sources. talk with friends and/or Subaru owners. If the dealership works with you ie no pressure than you can work with them.

Living in luxury!!!
I had a basic forester prior to this. We love Subaru! The AWD is a must for us and Subaru has it all! This time I pampered myself with bells and whistles! I couldn't be happier! 2018- still happy as can be with my legacy!!!! 2020- It’s 4 yrs old now and other than some creeks and settling noises I’m happy. Just wish the stereo had Apple car play or even a better system to match my phone.

Love my Subaru!
I can get a bicycle in the back with the fold down seats. Great power on the road, very comfortable on road trips.

Great ride
This has been a great car. It does very well in the snow and is very spacious inside. I bought the 6 cylinder and love the get up and go.

Safe and enjoyable ride
Transitioning from an SUV to a car, my priorities were safety and AWD. The handling and acceleration are not as big a deal after driving a less nimble SUV (2006 Buick Rainier). If you are someone going from SUV (not a crossover) I think you will enjoy everything the Subaru Legacy offers.
drives great

Decent AWD car that drives like a full size SUV
Bad first; Limited room, very badly postured and uncomfortable seats. Spongy acceleration with trouble on inclines. Low visibility and blindspots. Defrost doesn't work too well Good attributes; Has absolutely wonderful traction and maneuvering on snow terrain. Good fuel mileage if you live in the city. Reliable under harsh conditions and daily driving.

Happy Mother's Day to Me!
I have recently retired. Since I am not that informed about cars, I felt I needed to get a car that is known to be dependable. This is what I got in my new/used Subaru Legacy. I also wanted to treat myself, so I found one with all the whistles and bells to make me a happy driver.

'16 Legacy 2.5 Limited. First Subaru. Mediocre
So I bought the car used with 55k on it and my limited 2.5 has the premium 18" wheels. One of the rear wheels was bent so I had to have it replaced. I got an alignment and had new tires put on and I still don't feel the car drives 100% correct. The steering is still slightly off. The suspension is the hardest I've ever felt in a sedan combined with the low profile tires, and the sedan's low position to the ground, it makes the ride very uncomfrotable going over bumps. Also, there's no sound deadening glass like other manufactures use, so you hear a lot more on your drives than normal. The wind noise is atrocious! Also, the brake pedal is shifted too far to the left and your right foot will slip off the edge of it if you need to brake suddenly. It's like you have to shift your entire body diagonally to operate the brake then shift back to step on the gas. I'm glad I didn't buy this car new because it would not have been worth the price new. Prob ok for a used car if you need all wheel drive.

Changing battery, key fob pain and suffering
Every few years, my wife gives me the key fob to change the battery. I’m getting older my vision not so great. You have to put the key into the key fob this way that way, and then the battery has to fit exactly and if it doesn’t because they don’t make it so flexible then I’m stuck now I have to go to the garage. Hopefully they can fix it and if I go to Subaru, it’s a few hundred dollars minimum just to change a battery on a key fob. Disaster the car won’t start without the key fob working the key itself will not start the car it jammed and froze.

Legacy
Great value for the money Only issue seems to be a lag in the transmission when going from reverse to drive. Service team said its normal CVT. I don't believe it
