Why oh why did they ruin the Impreza?

I drove my 2011 Impreza happily for 180,000 miles until I finally traded it in for a 2018 model. What a huge disappointment. Like other reviews here mine must have been a lemon because it drove jerkily in traffic at low speeds. I took it to the dealer twice and they said they could not replicate the problem so there was nothing they could do unless check engine lights came on. They suggested it might be bad gas. Well I am sure it was not since it did it most of the time especially in very warm weather. Unfortunately I had to trade the car in . I am no longer driving a Subaru.

I have had numerous Subarus who all racked up high miles and were amazingly reliable! My new 2019 Impreza Premium doesn't disappoint and I can see it being a great addition in our Subaru family!

What a great car. Bought by my husband alone without my input. So much snow we could not drive up our road. I had been telling him to get a Subaru for years. But some irritating problems: You can catch your finger in the exterior door handle and get it chewed up when you open it! The seats are low and there is too much dash. Too many stupid gimicks. Radio always has to turn on with the ignition. Can't stop it easily. I had to buy a cushion just to see over the dash as a passenger. Huge glove box to whack your knee as you get in and out.

Large Repairs After Three Years

I purchased the 2019 Subaru Impreza hatchback. After six months, the struts starting to make a crinkling noise. I took it in and the dealer replaced the struts. Two years later, the Struts started making noises again and it was outside the warranty. The dealer said they needed to replaced, again. I'm not sure if this is a common theme for the Impreza, but in all the cars I have owned, I never had an issue with Struts, especially after only three years of driving. Regular driving on normal streets, and 30,000 miles. Aside from that, the car is okay. Very poor acceleration, especially if you have passengers. One good benefit is that it does have a huge turn radius. You can make a u turn practically anywhere! The phone connection and CarPlay functions are wonky. Every now and then you need to turn on and off your car in order to get a normal connection. Overall, I'm disappointed with my purchase.

Broken windshield

Beware of the easily broken windshield in this car in less then 8000 miles of owning it I have had to replace the windshield twice already due to extensive damage from a small pebble kicked up by the car in front of me. I will not recommend this car to anyone because of the poor quality windshield. As soon as I can trade it in I will go buy another car like a honda. I had a new windshield installed and as I left the dealership it cracked. I will never buy another Subaru they lost a loyal customer. Less than 2 weeks of having a new windshield installed it has cracked again. Subaru is making crappy cars now buyer beware
