Used 1994 Saturn S-Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
Fantastic SL
I couldn't be happier with this car. With 230K miles, I've only replaced minor components, plus usual wear and tear, like 1 alternator, 1 battery. 5 sets of tires. Suspension is original, motor never gone into, still gets mid 30sMPG, doesn't burn oil. Interior still excellent, paint peeling from desert sun to be expected.
Saturn
Not a bad car for the money. Easy to find performance parts, body kits etc. I hooked up my starting at about 121,000 miles, now has 134,000 and about $5000 put under the hood. An exhaust really helps the car. All and all, about 400hp.
good car
it is a good car
Served me well for the past 7 years
A solid car and easy to maintain. The only major component I've had to replace so far is the water pump. I don't know how much of "a different kind of a car" it is (maybe they just wanted to set it apart from some of the crap that the US auto industry had been turning out before they showed up) -- I feel like it is what a basic car ought to be. I would have no reservations recommending it to someone, despite a few minor annoyances.
Mileage plus
I bought this car new, with 20 miles new, and now 8 years later, with 245000 it is still going, (weaker, a little slower, more worn) but going. I have done a few things mechanically like the Fan Motor, Heater core, 1 Rocker Arm, but over all this car has been the best for dependability. If you don't mind a small car and small car ride. This is cheap.
