Saturn...never again...

I have had my Saturn ION 3 for a while and have had many problems from the tires, brakes, interior ceiling, sunroof...I can keep going. The car is nice to look at but I will not buy another one. The customer service also was not what I expected. Overall not a good car and not a good feel. I really wanted to buy the VUE, something really big will have to happen to change my mind.

Great car, basic but fun

We've got almost 3K on the car now and it runs great. Great gas mileage and fun to drive the sporty 5 spd. This redesigned car provides a smooth, stable, ride with 15" wheels, and a quiet interior. We can actually carry on a quiet conversation at 70 MPH. Turning radius is also very good for parking and turnarounds. Only problem I've encountered was a sticky door handle and squeaky clutch pedal which were both repaired satisfactorily at the dealer. Overall a really neat, fun car to drive.

Best for the money

The front grille is a big improvement over the 2004 ION. It makes the car look expensive. The seats are comfortable. I like the center dash. I have just under 3000 miles on it and I have found nothing that is a problem. It handles like a dream and is very responsive. I like the timing chain over the timing belt and will not have to have it replaced after 60,000 miles like my other car and a $350 bill. The trunk is a plus and the overall style is what caught my eye.

I have had more problems with this car than any other. It has been in the shop too many times to count. I now could swim inside my car it's leaking soo bad, yet Saturn is telling me it's not there problem. This problem, along with many others that I'm having with the vehicle are listed on what I'm being told is recalls. Saturn of course is telling me there is no recalls. 2005 was the worst year they had with this vehicle so I find it hard to believe there is no recalls. I have many other problems but too many to list. I have owned a Saturn in the past and loved it which is why I bought another one, but I will never buy one again.

I bought my ion almost three years ago with 22k miles on it. I've driven it every single day since then and have not had one single problem with it. the only time a mechanic touched it was to change the oil. its my first saturn and i have no reason to not buy another, my only complaint is that the suspension feels like its getting kinda mushy. Likes it's not as tight as it was when i bought it.
