Once you get 100,000 mile, get rid of the car. Maintenence will kill you.

Extremely reliable. I bought it with 91,000 miles, and now it's up to 151,000, with only minor maintenance required. It needs a new fuel injector, new plugs and wires, but other than that, nothing fancy. I will admit, it's hard on alternators at times, as well as brakes. Also, the paint has blistered terribly, but I think this is either a recall issue, or a poor quality aftermarket job. Overall? Incredible, fun car! I love it!

Money well spent!

The Pontiac Grand Am is definitely well worth the money. I bought the Grand Am in 1992 and anticipated having it for about 7 years. I have had it for 10 years now and is currently at 126,000 miles. It has been extremely reliable with only having minor repairs such as replacing brakes and normal maintenance.

92 Pont Grand Am - excellent 2nd car.

I have owened this car for over 8 years, purchased used in excellent condition. The car now has 100,400 miles on it, mostly local, stop & go driving. It is highly reliable. My most expensive repair was under $300 and very, very few repairs were ever required. The car still looks and performs like new. Absolutely no rust and the finish shines.
