We've had two '95 versions of this car-- both lost to accidents where we were prtected like being in a tank. Loved these cars enough to go looking for '96 models; we now have two '96 Regency 98s. the 3800 Series II is an awesome engine coupled with smooth tranny. Even with over 75K, weroutinely get 29-30 MPH at turnpike speeds. GM was nuts to stop building these cruisers. Anyone with a bad back would love driving one!

I love this ugly car

What can you say about this car? Well how about the fact that the 3.8L engine seems to be the most reliable built by GM. The ride is superb and all the comforts are top line. The only downfall with car is the design. Visibly I believe it has added 30 years onto my age, seems only "older" people would be seen with this vehicle, but once inside you forget the appearance. Great car for long trips and around the city.

Very dependable transportation

I've been extremely impressed with this vehicle--no real problems in the 16 months/20,000 miles I've had it. It delivers a consistent 25-26 mpg over my commute (which includes 2 fairly long, steep grades), has good power, is quiet and rides smoothly. It's not a FUN car to drive--floaty suspension and vague steering--and, at 28, I don't feel very "cool" in it...but it gets from A to B with no fuss.

This car was literally given to me. It had been sitting for two years. Well we charged the battery, put 5 bucks in gas in the tank...and prayed. After the second attempt at cranking it over, the car started right up. It has had no problems since. I've had to replace the passenger side rear window switch, and the trunk lock was busted out when the car came into my possession so that has to be replaced. I love my car. My friends and I are currently in the process of customizing it. Plans: a new CD player, a paint job, and street effex lights. The great thing about it is, my friends love my car more than I do. They love the luxurious feel of it and the fact everyone isn't all bunched up.
