I really enjoy it
The gas mileage isn't great only about 22mpg. The ride is really nice, I love sitting so high up. The exterior design is really different. The interior is mostly plastic that scratches easily.
Fun tank to drive!
The 2006 Xterra has amazing power. It definitely gets up and goes on the freeway. I'm amazed at the smooth and quiet ride.

Roy's Car
So far, I've only owned my Xterra for a little over a month. This is the most fun behind the wheel I've ever had. The car is responsive in every way possible. I'm impressed with the inside storage spaces and the ability to tie down gear in the back area. I like the idea of four plug ins for electrical items. The Xterra has accesories that can make this vehicle a true sports auto. Has good looks and the ability to take you anywhere and truly enjoy the experience and make you want to do it again, and again, and again.. Had I known about an Xterra, I would have given up pickups a long time ago!!!
Couldn't be more pleased
This is the best vehicle. So incredibly reliable. Some fun facts: - In 7 years of ownership, I've never taken it to the shop for anything other than the regular oil change and tire rotation. - Front 2 seats are very comfortable. I get many comments on this. - Steering wheel offers some resistance when turning but is OK. - Stylish - Decent gas mileage for the year and type of vehicle - Lots of trunk space, tons when the back seats are down. I can fit a corner piece of furniture in the back standing upright in this thing. - Don't have to slam the doors for them to close - Nice blinker sound - Replacements parts (from minor fender benders & whatnot) are pretty cheap
Xterra is going and going and going...
I have a 2006 Base Model Xterra. I'm currently at 140,000 miles and in Hawaii. I've had problems with it but expected it to be this way mainly due to wear & tear. A coolant hose broke at 80,000 (cheap fix). Fan clutch changed and gear cable replaced at 100,000. Radiator cracked-replaced & belt pulley replaced at 120,000 along with a couple thermostat problems (I wrongfully got aftermarket thermostat installed). My most recent problem was an coil-misfire at 125,000. Overall, these happen within long time-gaps of one another and I'm okay with that. I think I'd rather do this then a hefty monthly car payment every month. Currently its running enough to get where I need to get.
