We've had this car for over 3 years now and it has given us absolutely no problems. We bought it at 90,000 miles and it now has over 150,000 miles, and not a single problem. Highly recommend it. UPDATE: Bought this car at 90,000 miles. Great car. Never really any issues with it until the mass air flow sensor acted up just a bit. Cleaned it up, and worked fine again. It was a very good car for us for 83,000 miles. At 173k miles, the tranny went out. CVT transmissions are very expensive and hard to replace. Note that this car made it much further than most other cars of this make and model. 173k is probably the ceiling

Happily bought it new and sold it Mad

This car was an amazing buy at first until 2018 then things started to go bad with it. A coworker of mine bought his new at the same time as me and we both struggled as the years went on. Despite the regular maintenance I gave it the car kept having different problems and the co worker would have the same at the same time as me. The worst we both had was the P0101 Mass air flow not being able to solve despite us both using many different mechanics the Nissan dealership and it created church a headache when it would keep failing smog. For me that was the end of the Sentra needing to get it registered and the Mass Airflow Engline light code never getting solved plus having the other minor issues it had. Plus I noticed other Nissan Sentra and Altima owners having problems with the CVT transmission; I just anticipated it to give me problems next. Its sold and ill never go Nissan again especially the lower tier Nissans

Beware of those CVT transmission

My dad bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra S two years ago, the ride is comfortable but the transmission went out 2 days ago. He bought it at around 55 000 km (not miles, but km) and it went out at 86 000km. Called Nissan Canada as well as one of their dealership, they wouldn't budge to offer a free transmission replacement. There is a class action lawsuit against Nissan Canada in the province where I live (QC) so that they can cover these repairs which will take years to settle in courts. It's a known fact that their CVT breaks often, so many lawsuits in Canada and USA. Don't buy ever a Nissan, no wonder why their resale values are so low, no wonder why Scotty hates them.

Perfect tool for the job.

There is always a perfect tool for the job at hand. If you want to tear up a mountain road, buy a sports car. If you want to cruise the highway in tomb like silence, buy a big luxo cuiser. My Sentra is a quiet , comfortable, efficient car that can be fun in sport mode. It looks great in silver, more expensive than it was, not like a boy racer car. The CVT works well, I have rented many cars with CVTs and my Sentra does what it should...very well.
