Spec V
This is my second Spec V and I love it. The exterior styling is better on the 02 and 03 but the performance is great. I don't really race but it certainly has plenty of get up and go either on the street or the highway.
Been mostly reliable & fun to c drive
This is the first manual car and the only manual car that I've ever driven. For the most part it has been a really reliable car. It now has 160K + miles on it and it is starting to have issues. The paint has gone down the tubes, the check engine light is on & I've replaced the spark plugs & wires, the crank sensor, throttle position sensor, the windshield fluid reservoir and a few other things including the stereo because it went out. I'm not sure what's causing the check engine light to be on now, but I'm guessing it is just getting tired because it is 18 years old. Up until recently like I said before it has been a wonderful reliable car. It isn't really the ideal car for someone who has never driven a manual before but it was my first and my only and I've had it since 2014 and the clutch is still going strong so that shows it is a really tough car! :)

Nice Ride
What can I say, it's a nice ride. I live in NYC and I commute about 100 miles a day and this car is great on the highway but not so much on fuel. Little disappointed there. Fun to drive on the highway, not so much on the NYC streets. The potholes are a killer. No time to enjoy the ride. Too much shifting only to slam on the brakes for red lights and taxi cabs. Takes a little time to warm up. I love the shifting but can be hard at times. Great to drive in the mountains. Stiff ride in the city streets and sometimes to highway. Girlfriend complains of the stiff ride but I don't mind. Look for a car that gets better gas mileage. Look at the SE 2.0 liter. Better ride and gas mileage.
Fun and Economical
After looking at many cars (including the SVT Focus, Neon SRT-4, and Nissan Altima, I decided on the one I had my eye on from the beginning. Performance is great, you can launch from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and still has good pickup in 4th,5th,&6th. Comfort is nice, I like the bucket seats, some might not. Fuel economy - AC blasting, I got 31 MPG going 450 miles.
