Very Impressed
We watched youtube videos on all comprable suv's, we test drove all of them having to decide between the Nissan and the Subaru. I have had the Rouge SV with the tech package and have put almost 15000 miles on it since Feb. 2014. It drives great, we did bring it to the dealer only once to reset the computer on its first tank of gas because it did not do it automatically. I have no complaints and have had Nissans with great experiances in the past.
Reality with MPG
I love my new Rogue! It drives so quiet and smooth compared to the Honda I had! I am hearing a lot of concerns about the Rogue not living up to the MPG. With any vehicle the MPG are based on a standard way of driving the vehicle. If you hit the highway and put your gas pedal to the floor and drive 75-80 every where you go, yes, you will be lucky to get 24-25 mpg- its a 4 cyl. engine that you are making work overtime. I believe the standards used for all vehicles for highway testing is 60-65 mph. With normal acceleration- no noise! I have been averaging about 30 mpg on the highway when doing the speed limit.

one problem after another
Leased in Jan 2014 Problems: Day 2: headlights needed to be adjusted, blinding on coming drivers. Week 2: back windshield replaced; major leak Month 2: GPS/radio system changed Month 6: Air bag light went on for the day; eventually fixed itself Month 6: All air system blocked; fan working but NO air coming out; fixed itself after 3 hours in temps > 90 degrees! Month 12: Shifter assembly broken Month 15: seat assembly broken (drivers side) Month 16: CVT transmission grinding; replaced whole transmission Now: have no choice but to get extended warranty as approaching 40,000 miles! Reminds me of my old Kia, actually might be worse!
11 years of reliable transportation
We bought it new in July 2013. Definitely the most reliable car I've ever owned. A great all around car. Lifetime MPG sits at a solid overall 27. Over 172k miles and I'd drive it across the country tomorrow without hesitation. The CVT has been fine and I've never changed the fluid. The AWD and modest power are super easy on tires and it is GREAT in snow and rain. The exterior paint and interior are holding up VERY well (except for exterior dings but those are not Nissan's fault). In 11+ years I've fixed the following: fuel pump (recall), light bulb replacements, brake rotors (one time) and pads (twice), crankshaft sensor (quick cheap dealer fix), exhaust (large hose clamps to keep it from rattling), and...that's it except for tires (2x), batteries (2x) and oil changes (probably a dozen-ish). Oh, I also had the Nissan dealer do a coolant replacement about 30k miles ago. That's pretty much it except for adding gas. I don't think you could ask for a more reliable car. I'd love a new family car, but it's impossible to justify spending $40k+ on a new SUV when this one is so reliable and has basically everything a new car would have. Everything still works, it looks good, and it's very comfortable.

Nice SUV but bad AC
Bought AWD SL 2014 Rogue in Apr 14. Only 4800 mils on it but have been to dealer two times due to auto AC problems. Dealer replaced seal on one visit but AC still not efficient. Seems to take forever to switch from recirc air to outside air in a relatively mild climate (Maryland). Dealer said AC working properly during last visit - if that's the case then AC is poorly sized for this vehicle. Had several other vehicles witn Auto AC and never had this problem - it was basically set-and-forget. Latest problem is cool air comes out of driver side vents but warm outside air out of passenger side with both sides set at 72 deg. Going back to dealer again.
