Love the car, terrible Fucillo dealer experience

Chris, 10/15/2015
2015 Nissan Pathfinder SV 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Owned the car since May 2015. Took a little while for the highway mileage to get up to the 27 range. When I tow my 16' Jayco trailer, I only get 13MPG on the highway. It would be nice if the front passenger seat was more adjustable. The kids love the entertainment system, but it's a little confusing that the DVD has to go in the driver headrest player if everyone is going to view it. The overhead camera view and blindspot monitors are wonderful. I really like the car, but the Fucillo Dealership was so bad it spoiled the experience. They are [non-permissible content removed]. They made several "clerical" errors on the paperwork (in their favor). The salesman agreed to one price than outright lied when the paperwork came out. I would never go back to Fucillo Nissan even for service.

Love our 2015 SV.

First let me say that I am a real car guy that races sports cars and karts on the weekend so I know cars. Don't let the bad reviews scare you, we are 6 months and 7000 miles onto our 2015 and are very happy with our choice. I believe any issues with the CVT have been sorted in the first 2 model years. Just a few weeks after buying it we took it on a 2000 mile road trip with 2 small kids and it was flawless. I would drive it again that far in a moments notice. I made 26 mpg with it in 2wd mode with the cruise set to 78mph. Best highway road trip vehicle ever. Our previous car was a 2011 Forester that we never "loved" even though that is Subaru slogan. This car my wife loves. Car seats fit well and still allow 3rd row access. Jogging stroller fits even with 3rd row upright. My only complaint is the SV model Bluetooth will not allow you to stream audio only talk by phone. Also Nissan does not play well with my Samsung Galaxy. For streaming audio you must buy the SL and Tech package. I think that's crazy. Also heated seats are a must for us so we added dealer installed aftermarket heated cloth seats for $500 and didn't have to pay for all the extra SL items we really didn't want. Got 0% financing and a 2 year maintenance package included as well.

Frequent and expensive repairs

2015 Nissan Pathfinder S 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

In March 2018 I bought used Nissan Pathfinder 2015. At that time this vehicle had 63,000 km on it. I own this vehicle for 1.5 years. During this time total repair costs were $6,280: - March 2018: $180 – replaced drive belt - May 2018: $3,500 – replaced AC evaporator. There was only one OEM evaporator in Canada. When it was brought and installed, it turned to be defective. After that another after market AC evaporator was installed instead. - June 2018: drive belt was replaced again - September 2018: radiator fan needs to be replaced. Fixing costs were just over $1000. - August 2019: HVAC block started leaking. Fixing cost is $1,600. I contacted Nissan in Canada and Japan. Nissan Canada replied that maintenance is key to maintain reliability. Sure, malfunctioned AC evaporator, defective radiator fan, leaking HVAC block – all of them require a lot maintenance. I am not sure why Nissan Canada lies like that. Nissan Japan offered a $100 gas card. Sure, $100 gas is going to help a lot with repair cost of $6,280. I asked Nissan to recognize this vehicle defective, but Nissan refused to do this. So, it means that this is normal Nissan quality. You decide if you are interested in such “quality”. I also checked how customers are satisfied with Nissan Pathfinder on Consumer report: 2017: 3 out of 5 (when I bought my 2015, it also had higher rating – it decrease over the time) 2016: 2 out of 5 2015: 1 out of 5 2014: 1 out of 5 2013: 2 out of 5

I have owned my SL with Tech Package for two months, and I could not be more pleased. The car has a quality feel, the seats are very comfortable, and the features are terrific. I think it has the look, feel, and features of a more expensive car.

Best Vehicle I have ever bought Quiet smooth SUV

I have now had this SUV for 51,000 miles ... It still is the best vehicle that I have ever owned .. Again the Korean tires , the Khomo Solus brand are super quiet and smooth. The only negative is my wife is a small person ,, so I have had to modify the pedals for her to drive it safely ... Almost all of these SUV's are made for larger people . So the only machine on the road that fits her body is the Subaru Forester . But I still have one year to pay on the Pathfinder ,, when it is paid for, I may consider a Subaru Forester . I have now had this car for going on almost 3 years come January 2019 . I have about 35,000 on the Nissan 2015 Pathfinder ,, it is just a base model Pathfinder , it does not have 4 wheel drive .. I never go off the road unless I have to . The base price is about 30,000 naturally with Taxes , and a few small add on items it was 33,000 . I replaced the Continental tires with the Kuhmo Solus , Korean Tires . Excellent Tires , with a 75,000 mile range . The tires are extremely smooth and quiet … I am 70 years old now and I love quiet and smooth machines . These tires greatly improve the performance of the Machine . This Pathfinder rides and feels like a much more expensive machine . I have had Honda CRV's and still do , and Buicks, and Toyota's , .. Nissan Pathfinder blows all of them away and this is just the base model . I installed my own upgrades which I am more happy with compared to spending way to much money for the dealer installed items . The car is white with sand/Tan interior . Gas mileage is excellent for a Machine that can pull 5,0000 pounds and weighs 4300 pounds . It is solid and quiet . For me it is the best machine I have ever owned . I have paid more money for other machines only to be grossly disappointed . Having zero interest really helped also with the purchase . I live in The City suburbs of Houston Texas , I also own a Honda CRV , which is OK, but is no comparison to the Nissan Pathfinder . The Honda CRV is mostly for my Wife of 48 years . We have only taken the Pathfinder on 2 vacations, into the mountains, of Colorado , and it performed great . There is a lot of Hill country in Central Texas and I am a Volunteer Mentor Tutor for the Petrochemical Industry and travel all over Texas doing presentations about various Technologies . It is great to have a fine quiet comfortable machine to ride in . It feels like much more power due to the very heavy duty CVT Transmission . I get about 30 MPG on the Highway if I drive the car reasonably . It will be paid for in about 2 years , and I Plan to buy a second Pathfinder .. It is much more Safer to drive than my Honda CRV and much more quiet . I pull only light loads, nothing real heavy ,, I Installed a better than Factory Top Luggage Rack system which is fantastic . I have a 500 pound rear Trailer hitch Wheeless rack for Luggage that inserts into the standard Trailer hitch and it works great for Extra Luggage . The Pathfinder only seats 7 People, but does it very comfortably . This by far is the best Machine I have ever owned and far Beats my 40,000 Dollar Buick I used to own .. For the 33,000 paid price , I will buy another one .. I am a Retired Engineering Technician, with multiple Skills and Technology Back Grounds .. Naturally there were a couple tiny bugs in the machine at first , but I got them solved and there is zero issues . The biggest quality feature is being quiet and Smooth . it puts you to sleep almost . But the Korean Tires makes a big difference . I am asked to update my review on my Nissan Pathfinder . Due to Covid, I only have 61,000 miles on the 2015 Pathfinder . Some things that I have learned from Talking with Technicians is ----- I serviced my own CVT Transmission ,, it was easy .. I watched a dozen You-tube videos and talked to a dozen Technicians . I ordered the 2 transmission filters, and drained the fluid 4 times .. You only get about 2 quarts drained without removing the pan and the Filters .. Finally on the fourth drain and fill . I dropped the pan and changed the filters s. I used Valvoline full Synthetic CVT Fluid . I drove the machine about 500 miles in between each drain and fill . The machines sounds smoother and shifts better , and uses less fuel now . Nissan said it did not require maintenance , this was a giant lie . So I did it myself and it worked Great . I recommend servicing your CVT and replacing it with Synthetic Fluid . How you do it is your business . But I simply learned from other Technicians, and I am a Technician retired . youTube is Ok, but you need to watch at least 6 videos to compare . I love the Pathfinder and plan on driving the machine for as long as possible . It has been paid for a long time . It is not as fast as the Honda pilot , but I am not running a race . I like Smooth machines . Now Nissan is discontinuing the CVT for the Pathfinder . It is because of competition . I have serviced over 40 transmissions of all types, Ford Trucks , Toyotas, Nissans and many more since I posted my last note . It is easy , simply follow instructions, Ask questions . Yes I love the Pathfinder ,, And I finally sold my old Honda .

Love My New Pathfinder

I have had this 2015 Pathfinder for about a month. I just love it! It is a comfortable , luxurious ride, and used 2 tanks of gas, average 21 miles per gallon. I have been driving a Chevrolet Avalanche for the past 4 1/2 years, that averaged 12 mpg. We already have a 2014 Pathfinder in the family, and liked it so well, we traded for another. Nissan got his ride right!

2015 Pathfinder - Great Warranty Inferior Product

Ben Diamond, 08/09/2016
2015 Nissan Pathfinder SL 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

I was very excited to lease this car, I was looking forward to it. I love the car. The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder is the perfect car for me at this stage in my life. I effortlessly transport my kids and their friends from one sport to another, the 3rd row seating and access are wonderful. Nissan Motor Corp honors its Warranty without question... This is the problem, the car is unreliable. 7 months after delivery the Transmission went dead, and Nissan replaced the transmission without question. When I picked the car up from the transmission repair, the Gear shifter was making a grinding noise when I moved the shifter from Park to Drive. The technicians told me that all the cars in the lot make this noise, but it did not make the noise when I received the car. I did not accept that all the cars make this grinding noise, so I sent a video illustrating the the grinding noise it makes when moving the shifter to their corporate office. I received a call back informing me that the technicians at corporate reviewed my video and felt, I was not pressing the button on the gear shifter down all the way, so it was my fault for not pressing the button hard enough. 3 weeks later I get into the car that is parked in my driveway, I start the car and it goes dead. Once again back to the Service center. After 10 days a Technician by the name of Carlos calls me back and says, "the car was on a hill, nose facing down with low gas. Nissan cars don't always start on a hill, with low gas if the nose of the car is pointing downward." I explained to him, that the car was on a slight incline with a little less than a quarter of tank of gas. Carlos pushed my statements aside and said, "No, it was on a hill with low gas!" They replaced two recalled parts, put in a brand new gear shifter due to the grinding noise and called me to pick the car up. It has been 2 days and the car is running great. At this point, I would never recommend anybody buy a 2-15 Nissan Pathfinder out right. If you are using this car as your main car, to transport your family, or if you are going to rely on it for work than I would tell you not to buy it. If you have time to go back and fourth to the service center and have plenty of time on your hands, then leasing a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder is definitely an option because they do honor their Warranty and you are not charged for the repairs.

2015 Pathfinder with CVT failure

I recently purchased this Pathfinder on 7/26/15. On 8/3/15 I started having a shudder when I accelerate at low speeds. The notorious CVT shudder. Nissan doesn't offer loaners or rental reimbursement unless you pay an extra 2000$ - (ridiculous). I know for sure after a 95 altima, 02 Maxima, 09 Altima hybrid. This Pathfinder will be the last Nissan I ever buy.

After 2 1/2 years of driving and, now, about 35,000 of my own miles, I can honestly say that this has been a great purchase. Super comfortable, great on gas mileage (I don't need to pull a trailer any more so it's no longer an issue), and absolutely "0" mechanical issues of any kind. I hope I'm not jinxing myself but this has been the best, most trouble free car that I've ever owned.

Had a ton of vehicles and by far best "Family" SUV

Ok, you are talking to a girl who loves vehicles. I've had everything from Acura, Honda, Infiniti, Jeep. I've stood by Honda products and still will. But, this Pathfinder Plat is amazing!!! Tons of space for car seat, stroller, Grammy & Papa, too. I use the cargo area in/the floor as a diaper station on wheels. Ride is great, large pano moon roof. Not sure if I'd buy one-since I lease the base path-and wasn't impressed by long term quality-not like my Acura-which aged beautifully. But, going from a Path base to Plat-huge difference and totally worth the $$. Only wish it had the App feature like in the my Altima SL. Looking for space for family and everyone is comfy and happy go w/the Plat!!

This is the second Pathfinder I have owned and I loved the first one and kept it for 10 years. I expect to keep this one that long as well. The Pathfinder is well made and has high quality finishes, it handles well, gets reasonable gas mileage and is overall a beautiful vehicle. I have no complaints with the vehicle.

Let's start with the context, I've gotten a new car almost every year for several years now. Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited(s) (14 and 15), two Camry XLEs, Grand Caravan, Sienna (04, 09, 11)... The 2015 Pathfinder Platinum is outstanding. It may be the car I just keep. I cross shopped the Highlander XLE/Limited and the third row is so much better. The reviews will tell you it's got more passenger space than a Tahoe! The third row is the best out there. It's got two real seats and headroom - adults can use it! Which is good because teens and adults are the same size. The infotainment is MUCH better than the Jeep GC Ltd and that is supposed to be cutting edge. 13 speaker Bose is very good.

First Nissan. Toyota owner since 1974. Wanted to go back to SUV after owning sedan. Choose Pathfinder over Highlander primarily due to price point, electronics, styling, comfort of seats, and overall quality of interior. Good leg room for 2nd row seating, and easy access to 3rd row seats. Very good ride and handling. Recently returned from 900 mile round trip (two adults, three teenage girls). Adequate space for luggage, coolers, cases, etc. with 3rd seat down. Average 24 mpg (slightly less in town; slightly more on highway). Update: Loving the vehicle! Mileage on highway improving, 27-28 at 60 mph. Drops to 25 above 60. Consumer Reports totally missed the rating on this vehicle. Would definitely purchase it again.

Bought new in November 2015 4x4 S model added roof rack fog lights and other extras. Spent $30k after everything. The transmission shutters and sometimes it feels like its not pulling at all when you accelerate. 14,750 miles on it and its worth maybe $18,500 trade in maybe $20,000 private party. If you lose that much appreciation in a little over a year and a half you know they have serious issues with the vehicles. It has been the biggest disappointment I have ever bought stay away and buy something else. It will be traded as soon as possible the transmission problems alone should keep you away I was told it was a issue and they needed to re-map the electronics with a download for the CVT my point is why am I here at the dealer with this issue with 14k miles on a $30K vehicle look it up yourself and do research before buying I bought it for the safety for my infant child and didn't do enough research before I bought it.

SL Tech Package = Pure Luxury

2015 Nissan Pathfinder SL 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

This car has all the bells and whistles we were looking for. The interior is nicely done and it is almost close to its "sibling" the Infiniti QX60 in terms of luxury. The ride is nice and smooth. The SL Tech Package has it all. It features the 360 degree camera, Nav, power liftgate, excellent Bose system with sub in the rear, memory driver settings, blind spot monitoring with the rear cross traffic alert. I mean too many options to list. The only downside is the cargo area. We are coming from a boxy 2012 Pilot which ate up everything in the cargo area. This Pathfinder falls a little short in that respect. The 2nd row slides easy with access to the 3rd row. I also like the option of switching between 2wd and 4wd auto. Overall we are happy with the lease we made. I also got a great deal. This is a $43,000 SUV and I am paying less than $400 month on 12k 36 month lease with just taxes upfront. We were waiting for the new Pilot but the more I see the front, I want to throw up. The thing is just ugly and boring looking like a cr-v odyssey. Plus no lease on it yet. Bye Bye Honda. Hello Nissan Infiniti!!!

This Pathfinder has been a fine quality vehicle for us. And others should enjoy it also. Comfortable ride, pleasurable to drive, and (at least for us) superb service from our dealer. Only a couple small minor items that needed attention and our dealer treated them as major items. This is our fourth Nissan and I don't see why we would leave the Nissan family of vehicles. All have been quality, reliable, and comfortable vehicles.

Nissan has done nothing to improve the issues that we had in the past! Never own one again! $250k in 10 years and they just treated me like garbage I have owned this Nissan Pathfinder for 6 years, we have 52k miles on her and had to put tires on her at 25K, Alignment was fine and we don't pull a trailer, just cheap OE tires, transmission OMG, what a mess. we are trading this one in this week and my 2014 Altima by weeks end as well. (3 transmissions as well as other issues) Stay away from Nissan period! Purchased other brands don’t waste your time with Nissan

Really love my Pathfinder. It offers great value for the money. I'm going on 3 years now and the only repairs it has needed are brake pads and tires and that is only because the places I took it to were not rotating the tires. It offers a ton of cargo space when the seats are down and is really convenient having 3 rows when they are all up. It's overall comfortable and drives as easy as a car with the visibility of a SUV and AWD. Will most likely be trading in for the same newer truck in March.

First of all the transmission is CRAP. loose shifting and the dealer refuses to do anything. Back up camera quit working and the dealer said the factory cannot do anything about it. Two different dealers. At 30,000 miles the dealer claimed the tires were worn out. I took it to Discount Tire and they said the tires were ok.

Poor MPG, performance of the CVT engine is abysmal. Vehicle has had random jerking upon acceleration since day 1. Several visits to Nissan repair, everytime told it needed to be "updated" that it was some sort of electrical issue. Never was this problem resolved. Less than a year in I traded this vehicle in for something more reliable. Traded at a loss but win in the end on maintenance and performance.

Overall I would characterize this 2015 Pathfinder as good to excellent. It is less than two years old. However, I was very disappointed in the tires TOYO A25 Open Country Tires) that came on it. The vehicle only has 32,000 miles on it and the tread is down to about 3/32" and I had to replace them The vehicle has only been used for town and highway driving. I understand from the dealer that these tires are only lasting for about 30,000 miles, and that there is no tread warranty on them. I think it is pretty nasty of Nissan to put such low quality tires on a new SUV. Other new vehicles (including a 2000 Pathfinder and a 2003 Nissan Frontier) all had between 45,000 and 65,000 miles on them before I had to replace them. That is the reason for the rating.

I was a big fan of Nissan. I owned 1998 Quest, 2005 Quest and 2011 Murano is 90K now. Bought the Pathfinder brand new, airbag recalled, rear differential replaced till CVT shaking/shuddering on 30K, no problems found said by the dealer, trade in lost $12K just 21 months, will not buy any Nissan with CVT.

Quirky but Decent Pathfinder.

I got this vehicle just before retirement, and it's one of three vehicles we own. I like the AWD feature, stability, ergonomics for the most part and I got it aat a decent used car price with 17k miles on it from a Lincoln Mercury dealer in Cincinnati, brought in from the Bronx in NYC. It now has 87K on it. My 5'2" spouse primarily drives this vehicle. On the PLUS Side: Good Riding, Good Handling, pretty decent upholstry, decent response in panic situation, good power and acceleration in a jam with the CVT (had a little time getting used to that feature), good no fade braking, average fuel mileage (hihway MPG, regular grade unleaded fuel is 25.5 mpg highway, 17.5mpg city, main Plus.....it's paid for and still has alot of good life left in it. On The Minus Side: Horrible location for a lousy interior cabin air filter.(the engineer who came up with this should be shot (Harry Houdini would have trouble getting it replaced...it sits behind the center console and the dealer wanted $125 to change a $15 component), horrible place to put a oil dipstick (in front of the transverse mounted engine....awful trying to return the level probe and need a light every time), crappy factory paint, ill-fitting body components, impossible to replace the oil filter without taking off the RF tire (another flunkie engineer design), crappy insertion of vinly trim inserts that I had to reapply with silicone seal (flew apart in car washes), horrible location for front driver side bulbs...you have to take the battery out that's also a mnightmare, just many more quirky crap that doesn't make any sense but they are mainly fit/finish "pain in the ass" stuff.

have had my car for about 10K- various internal and external parts falling off, breaking or poorly assembled. Have been to the Nissan dealership and they are having a hard time repairing the car due to poor quality of Nissan parts and design. Do not know what I will do when warranty is over.. Would not recommend this vehicle to anyone

3000 miles on '15 Pathfinder and already problems

I recently decided to lease a new '15 Pathfinder SL w/ Premium Package despite reading many of the issues online with '13 and '14 MY transmission issues. I choose the Pathfinder because I found it more comfortable than the Santa Fe, better fit and finish than the Explorer and I was able to get a better price/deal than the Highlander. Sitting inside the Pathfinder it feels like a very luxurious vehicle. Overall, I am worried about the build quality. Already have two issues at 3000 miles, one with the transmission having an ugly downshfit into when stopping. Lots of bangs when driving. Very worried about long term durability and safety. Good thing I leased!!! **UPDATE** I've know owned the car for 28,000 miles, and over my opinion of this car is mediocre. Its saving grace is that it is big, roomy, and super comfortable to drive, even as a daily driver. But I feel that there are too many little things with this car to justify its $42k price tag. I've had air bag issues, trim issues, the bluetooth is a disaster in the car, and the overall fit and finish just isn't holding up. Plus, I found their exterior paint quality to be of low quality compared to other cars on the road. I would never buy one of these used if you're thinking about it, and don't know if I'll ever buy another nissan again!

If you are considering buying anything Nissan, make sure it does not have the CVT transmission. We have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder and have to replace the transmission with only 80k miles on it. I just got off the phone with a transmission repair place and they are saying that CVT's are junk. It was if they didn't do any R&D on the design and just released the product. My recommendation is to stay away from Nissan. This is the second tranny I've had to replace. I am done with Nissan!

We bought this car in 2015 and this was platinum model. City mpg 19 and highway 26. Enough acceleration to pass anyone. Space is really good. One of the comfortable 3rd in this segment of SUV. The only problem we noticed that cabin is not quite as close to our A6. Lot of outside noise and staring is hard as compare to other SUV. May be some problems in ours.

I have never owned a Nissan and decided to try one out and the 22 miles to the gallon, I figured I had nothing to lose. Boy was I wrong!! This is the biggest gas guzzler I have EVER owned!! 22 miles to the gallon?? Who rigged this thing. I get 13 / 14 city possibly 15 on a good day, and 18/ 19 on highway. What a joke this thing is!! CVT is designed to give me better gas mileage, pffffttt. I questioned the dealership and their response was" Well, it has to go through it's break-in period" I have never in my life heard of this so I went home and googled it. Well, some people believe this to be true, I still think it's BS, as I have passed the so called " Break - In period of 1,000 miles and the [non-permissible content removed] gas mileage continues. Anyone else have this problem????

Buy anything else but a CVT Nissan. This was fluffed up as a CPO by Nissan, and it has been in service twice in less than two weeks since I was unfortunate enough to think I was getting a reliable low mileage ride. RUN AWAY FROM NISSAN PATHFINDERS. They obviously do not care about safety or reputation.

I thought the Nissan was a great car until the transmission went at 95,000km this is a common manufacturing problem. Because I bought my car second hand Nissan refuse to assist in anyway. I am out of pocket $12,000 for a known common problem. Be very careful when purchasing

Pros: AWD, Leather Seats, Seat Heating in 2nd Row, Spacious 3rd Row, Best in Class design (Super Innovation) for access to 3rd Row, Excellent interiors, Fabulous sensors for Traction, Knob shifts between AWD and 2WD, Traction Locks for SNOW stuck, Intelligent use of Cargo bins, 12 V power, One touch Lift gate, BlindSpot, Rear Traffic, Parking Sensors, Sporty Design with steel bumpers and chrome plates, 5000lb Towing capacity, 27-29 Highway MPG (City 18+ MPG) , Great dealership support, Excellent Cargo space if you fold away all seats, Fog Lights, Innovative Cruise Control Button set up ( Set, On , Off) LOWEST PRICE POINT in comparison to Highlander, Pilot Cons: No AUX port (How could they ?), BlueTooth Audio is not standard (though telephone is) even in SL version, Entertainment buttons (basic switches to change radio channels- they jump in multiples of 5.. so you have to use the knob). The panel switches if you are not buying the 2.5K Tech package are ancient and unacceptable when you are spending 35k+ on a car. 7 months later: Update: Still feel pretty awesome about the pathfinder. I am not the one to complain much on engine or acceleration. I have a second car (BMW 330 Xi) which is a fun machine to drive.

As everyone knows, the transmissions in these vehicles is questionable. I had mine replaced at 55,000 miles, just under the 60,000 mile new car extended warranty. It operates really well now! There should be a recall on this issue if you ask me but there isn’t!! Other than that, it’s a fine vehicle!

High quality interior materials. This vehicle has plenty of space for a mid sized vehicle. I personally prefer rear wheel drive vehicles with a V8, but this is a good commuter. The vehicle is not built for heavy duty towing. The fuel tank is pretty small, and the oil change intervals are much shorter than competitive models. I have recently traded this vehicle for an Infiniti QX60. Everything about the QX60 is slightly better, and worth the premium.

Love my Pathfinder. Only 4 stars for one reason. Transmission jerky when in heavy traffic trying to shift If you have overdrive gears. I solved it by dropping into fixed low gear when crawling ,then when traffic starts up back to normal just shift back into drive, and its fine.

2015 Pathfinder, 22,000 mile, has developed a rattle that I just haven't been able to locate yet. Narrowing it down to the right rear door... somewhere. That is the tolerable problem. The real problem, one crappy paint job. The prep between primer and the finish coat... sucks. Vehicle has what "appears" to be chips... but they are teardrop shaped with rounded edges and don't go below the primer. It's a plain and simple poor prep, as it was spotted with something. The Nissan answer... tough crap, warranty doesn't cover paint chips, even tho the body shop that looked at it says it's a defective paint job. Body shop recommended BY the Nissan Dealer, since they do not have one. Update: 9/2/2019 Mechanically, have not had any real problems with the vehicle. Had to replace the electric cooling fans for the motor, but that was done under warranty. Never could get Nissan to do anything about the paint job. They just danced all around the subject. Starting to look for a different vehicle currently, Nissan is off the list on possibilities.

Bought new in 2015 Platimum 4x4 and at first the vehicle was great. At about 10,000 miles developed a rattle in the front dash that no one could locate or fix. Gas mileage around town was 15-17 mpg, but on the highway, lucky to get 24 mpg. After 30,000 miles tires were wore out. Went to the Nissan dealer to trade for a new 2019 Murano Platinum and they would only give me $18,000 on a trade-in(the Pathfnders original price new was over $46,000). Quite obvious they didn't want this trade-in, in that, we got many more $$$ for it when we traded for a 2019 Ford EdgeTitanium. Great car, better gas mileage and very quite on the inside while on the road. Done with Nissan.

I've had bought a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum back in 2016 brand new. Everything was good until maybe the 3rd year it started giving me problems the fan when out. Also when you would fill up the gas tank it would sound like it a water jug halfway filled up, everytime you would slow down you could hear the gas move up and down, then the hood would vibrate from day one that I bought it and lastly, the AC wasn't working as well. I had traded it in for my Murano and still regretting it. I recently just sold it to Carvana and looking to just buy a Toyota. I do not recommend a Nissan pathfinder to anyone what a nightmare!!!
