My first SUV
I bought this to replace my '97 GLE Maxima, w185,000 miles on it,the Maxima was a great car & had a lot of luxuries of the time. I was looking at Highlander, MDX, RDX & Lexus RX350. I love this car, love the exterior sporty look, the placement of all the knobs & dials for the radio & air I can reach all of them comfortably. I added all the packages except the DVD. The Navigation helped us find a Bank when we were out of town, although the screen is hard to see with sunglasses. Would have loved the LE for the IPod Integration & the Memory seats but didn't want 20inch tires. This was perfect, I also love being up higher and having a full view of the road but the handling of a sedan.
Satisfaction!!!
We just got the Murano SL couldn't be happier. The ride is great, the seats are extremely comfortable and the controls are very accessible. We live in New England so unfortunately we haven't been able try out the sunroof, but the AWD works awesome. The iPod hookup could be a little more accessible, USB should come standard, but it certainly doesn't make or break the deal. The mileage could be better but what are the chances the dealer filled it with the good stuff.....NOT. This vehicle is fantastik, Great buy!!!

Boomer SUV
I'm a Boomer but love cars. All my vehicles prior to this one have been performance sedans. I bought the Murano because I have a dog and needed a nice little ride spot for my dog Boomer. I drove 6 mid size SUVs before purchasing the Murano. Reasons: Great discount price, very nice build quality, smooth drive train and ride, great handling for an SUU. My previous 2004 Maxima ran 187,000, was totaled, rebuilt and was running great when I traded it it. I love Nissan's.
New crossover
Purchased the LE with Nav after comparing it to the Venza V6, Subaru V6 Limited, Volvo XC60, Cadillac SRX, and Hyundai Vera Cruz. I was impressed by the handling characteristics, ride, comfortable and quiet interior and fit and finish. Excellent front seat support and capacious rear seat. It handles well on the freeway as well as in town and has an eye catching style.
Big Mo Great for Tall Drivers
Own the 2010 SL AWD Murano for 2 wks now and loving it. Merlot with Black, leather, prem, moonroof. Looks great. Gets lots of compliments around NJ/NY. Some of these auto mag review geeks just don't know beauty when it's staring them in the face ; ). The drive is very sporty, and being 6'5"/235, it was one of the few cars that I felt totally comfortable in as a driver or passenger. The leather seats are like lazy-boys and the rest of the interior is luxurious. I leased a new Lexus RX350 for 4 yrs in the past, and the interiors are on par. I actually liked the Cadi SRX exterior the most, but overall, it just doesn't match up to the Murano. Researched for months - Best Ute for the $$.
Love It
This is my first SUV and I am really impressed with the Vehicle. It has all the bells and whistle I could ever dream of in a car. I love the heated seats, the smooth ride and most of all the SAT radio with those awesome Bose speakers. I don't have anything to complain about, but everything to be thankful for. Glad I made this as my first choice for an SUV.
Happy with our Murano
Bought the SL AWD with Premium, Leather and Moonroof package. We were looking for a crossover for 18 months. Seriously considered Chevy Equinox/GMC Terrain and GMC Acadia. Settled on Murano do to performance (at the cost of fuel efficiency) and styling. We are very glad we waited for 2010 model since it is a cosmetic improvement on 2009. We are extremely happy with decision as car is a joy to drive. We have had no issues although we are still only 3000 miles into ownership.
Great Ride
I have had my Murano for months now and do a lot of road trips. Most road trips are about a thousand miles. I could not be happpier. This vehicle is a very smooth, comfortable and good car for my long road trips. My last 3 cars were Lexus 350s. I was a little reluctant changing to Nissan, but heard a lot about how great they were and decided to check it out. It has surpassed the Lexus in comfort, style, wheel turn, gas mileage and other features. All the family members in my family are tall and the leg room5'11' to 6'4" is just perfect. I read some reviews about car seat comfort. So all you tall people should take notice. I love the car and would lease another.
Loving the Murano
I needed a daily driver to haul kids around occasionally and to run errands (sports car wasn't quite up for all that). I compared to Acura RDX, Toyota Rav4, Highlander, Lexus RX330, and Honda Pilot. The Murano LE came out on top for following reasons: 1) Price was reasonable. 2) Smart Key... this is awesome. 3) Bluetooth 4) Navigation is terrific 5) BAckup camera. 6) iPod connection. 7) Stereo with LE is terrific. Driving is easy, I feel in control, handling is excellent.
Excellent choice
I had my murano for 3 months now. It has all the bells and whistles. Traded my 2006 pilot for the Murano. I do not regret the decision. Very well build interior. Premium materials. Excellent quality. My only complain so far is the GPS features are limited while driving. Most of the features can not be access while driving. So-so fuel economy. Limited voice commands compared to the Pilot
All around superstar
Best all around vehicle for the money. Plenty of power and comfort and outstanding performance on mountain roads and snow. Perfect blend between car and truck.
After lots of searching
I needed a vehicle that is comfortable to drive and has some extra room. Traded in an 08 Outlander XLS, which is a great small SUV...but just too small for me. Looked at Lexus Certified, way too much money, Toyota Highlander, rough ride. Tried to buy American but the interest rates have skyrocketed. Murano SL AWD with everything except nav, have my own portable as I travel a lot and didn't need to spend the money on factory nav. Car is smooth, gets 24 to 25 mpg on highway, 80% of my driving. Put on 2000 miles in 3 weeks and everything fine so far.
A Pleasure to Own
The Murano drives and rides like a much more expensive vehicle. The interior is on par with our Infiniti M35. It is quiet and well mannered on the highway and around town. While it does require premium fuel, we haven't found that to be a drawback considering that decent mileage it gets.
5000 mile update
I gotta say - I love this car. I drove my RX330 again today and while the Lexus wins on build quality - the steering, brakes, technology and toughness of the Murano excel. I love the looks, the use of space, the seats. The Lexus has been around and performed well over the years - I will need to rewrite this in 5 years. For golfers - the Murano holds clubs across the back storage - 4 bags easy - the Lexus was not wide enough. I also notice the climate control is better than the RX - one always hit me in the face the Murano circulates the air more effectively. For Mid-size SUV the Murano is hard to beat for value, performance and features.
So so
Vehicle is cheaply made with a high price tag body exterior is too thin I closed the hood and pressed down with my elbow which resulted with a dent in the hood just hoping it will make up on the mechanical
Love My Murano.
Love my Murano so far. Only bought it 2 weeks ago. Love the smooth acceleration. I live in Texas hill country and the Murano glides over the hills. Love the quiet & smooth ride and the comfortable leather seats. First tank of fuel was 20.5, which is not the greatest, but I didn't expect much more. So far am using mid-grade gas, although premium is recommended. I had a 2003 Infiniti G-35 a few years ago and regular fuel worked in it OK, & basically it's the same engine. I traded in two Hondas (CR-V & Civic Hybrid) for the 1 Murano. This of course, head & shoulders above either of those vehicles.
Love my 2010 Murano!
We had to wait to get a white SL with the packages we wanted (sunroof) and waited for the right price as well, Premium and Sport. I didn't think I could afford such a luxury SUV! I LOVE THE WAY THE MURANO DRIVES! I feel like I'm driving a Lexus. For the price, this SUV is wonderful, roomy, comfortable, stereo is great, love the 6CD Changer, Sirius XM and I can use my MP3 Players! The back up camera is a must and I read some reviews about the driver seat not being low enough and it bothered me for a day or so, but I was able to get the back part of electric seat to go up so I can see over the hood and the front part of the seat felt lower, so I'm used to it now. What a sweet ride!
Love It
I am writing again just to say, I absolutely love my Murano and so glad I chose this SUV.
Fun car
I checked several crossover, name few audiq5, Lexus rx 350, Volvo and came back and got murano leawd. I had to make a decision with audiq5 and murano. Looking with similar options, it was 10 grand difference. I followed edumnd's advice, as well as tmv. It was no brainer that murano had better finance option plus better interior except that Audi q5 had better panoramic roof. Any how I loved this vehicle and every single option makes it one of the best car buying experience.
2ND CVT Transmission failure
I have a SL and love it. 2nd TIME FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURE! I'm so disappointed and Nissan you know you have a faulty CVT. How about help on fixing it?????
