2009 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

While waiting for the Maxima's release, drove most all 6 cylinders, including G35, Acura TL, Toyota Avalon, Accord, etc. True sports car enthusiasts may not care for the front wheel drive, but the Maxima handles very well for an entry level luxury sedan with a sporty feel. Performs better and the convenience items are great. Got the SV w/Premium Package -- white w/tan interior. Looks great. Will be back to comment on fuel economy.

Nissan really stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. This car is awesome! Why buy a fifty grand euro car when you get more for your buck with this beauty. I almost bought a M35X. The Maxima was good enough for me to reconsider the extra 12 grand I would have spent.

Went to go test drive this car after seeing one on the street. I was instantly hooked. Had to get it. Interior is beautiful, seats are comfortable, features are abundant. Has one of the best sound systems I have heard, and I would consider myself critical in regards to that. Ride quality is great, gotten a lot of compliments at gas station, car wash, co-workers, and friends. I was looking at the G35 and TL but was instantly sold on the Maxima the instant I sat in it.

I have the SV model with the technology and cold weather package. This car easily fits 3 car seats across the back seat which made this purchase even easier. The V6 290 horsepower engine is very powerful and the handling is unreal. I have been getting a lot of second looks driving this car around town, and have been stopped a couple of times at lights. This car has so many extras it is a great deal for the price.

Purchased 2009 Nissan Maxima on 7/19/20 and on my way home it broke down. Found out at least head gasket went. Mechanic said engine is trash. He didn’t want to do anything with it, considering it had 169k miles. I just spent $4800 cash money and I need a new engine. JC. So found a new engine through friend of friend and including install is $1200. This new engine has 90k on. I pray it all works out. The carfax checked out, the title was not restored/salvage. The test drive went fine. It had to wait until I was on my way home for this to happen. Is there some way the previous owner may have known it had a problem coming? Is there a way they can do temporary fixes to make it good for a while? There were no warning lights or check engine light until it broke down in the middle of a busy street, where I also got rear ended at the same time. I just hope it works now and I can trust it.
