Used 2001 Nissan Maxima Sedan Consumer Reviews
Super Star
Have had this since new and am completely satisfied! Engine is smooth as silk and has had zero problems in almost 100K miles. Body styling is becoming classic. Smooth ride tight steering great road grip. Only gripe, and that's minor, is the limited turning radius.
Fast and Dependable
Bought vehicle used with 36K on it. Now have 126K on it and still drives great. Replaced brakes and tires. Aside from regular maintenance, that's all I've ever had to do to it. Has never left me stranded. Still accelerates like a champ and hugs the road. No complaints at all here. Looking forward to turning over 200K.

Great car for the money
I just bought the Maxima GXE. So far, it's been great...handles very well for a car its size. Interior room is aplenty, and the dashboard layout is much better than the new Altima I was considering. It doesn't have the frills (spoiler, rims, sunroof) but has the same engine as the other trims, and the car moves its weight very well! It's too early for a reliability estimate, but by all indications it should be excellent. Overall, a the best car for this price range.
The "ultimate highway cruiser."
I drive 150 miles (round trip) to work everyday in my 2001 Nissan Maxima (20th Anniversary Edition). This car is the ultimate highway cruiser. Most of my miles are high speed and the Nissan responds with great performance and handling through all types of weather. I strongly recommend this vehicle to anyone who must travel long distances .... it is fun to drive!
