Used 2020 MINI Countryman Wagon Consumer Reviews
Fun, difference, enjoyable, but...
I've been a Honda/Acura guy for a long time. I was searching for a replacement for my Acura TSX and test drove the Countryman S. Loved it the second I drove it. Bought the Countryman S and love the ride, handling, space and look. The one single this that is terrible is the sport seats. The S came with sport seats which are fitted with pronounced side support for your back and base. The seats are EXTREMELY uncomfortable, hard and feels small. Totally ruined a fantastic car. Considering it's a BMW I'm highly disappointed. Really unfortunate as I love everything else and would recommend it. So buyer beware, do a special order and order the normal seats! Or maybe the won't bother you but be warned!

Unique & Fun Ride!
Stand out SUV unlike the other cookie cutter SUV’s on the market! Cabin space is small but that’s covered by my wife’s car, put the back seats down and I can still load up the latest Home Depot purchase. The inside tech is is fun, looks like no other, comfy ride and many bells and whistles at a competitive price. Plenty of compliments on this unique and fun ride, feel great about my purchase!

Used to like it more
Bought this as a third car to get around town and take the dog, so this is not a show car. I do get great gas mileage, but the overall maintenance is much greater than I had anticipated. I acquired the car with +/- 28000 miles. The battery when dead a few months later but fortunately is was under warrantee. I do have to travel about 2 hours to the closest dealer so that was a bit of a hassle. At +/- 36000 I took it in for required maintenance, oil change, etc. I was informed that the right front motor mount had broken. WOW! It's not as if I abuse the Mini, but really drive it quite safe and sanely. I have treated my Corvette a lot worse and have not had that type of issue. The dealer said this was a commonly known mechanical failure in BMW's and Mini's. He even showed me a box full of broken motor mounts. So I'm wondering what else is going to surprise me next. This is an update: I've not had any additional trouble and things are going okay. This vehicle has turned into the daily driver for all sorts of things but especially taking the dog for walks, hoping, etc. Gets good gas mileage and handles well. Winter is approaching so if like the last I have no fears of driving in the snow.

Brakes replaced at 17k
The front brake pads needed to be replaced at 17k. The dealership said this was a "rally" car and the brake pads are thinner. I have never been to a rally with it and why can't they make brake pads that last longer???? I have a bad feeling the cost of ownership is going to be ridiculous on this thing.

Chili Red Countrymen is the best little big car.
Purchased this 2020 Chili Red Countrymen for College student. Run flat tires, over 400 miles range w/full tank, leather interior, and cool color. What else do you need?
