Used 2005 MINI Cooper Hatchback Consumer Reviews
love my mini
Absolutely the most efficient and fun car to drive. It is safe and fuel economy the tops. The space inside the car is abundant. I don't feel intimidated by tractor trailers when I am driving. I usually don't like regular cars as I drive a GMC Safari in the winter and like to sit up high when I drive but the MINI is the perfect car for me. I do garage my car for the winter, but I see so many that I feel they do great in all types of wheather. I recommend it to every one.
Great Car....but...Service is a Concern
Initially, I purchased the Mini Cooper S because of my wife and daughter's infatuation with this car. After driving this vehicle only one time, I also became "hooked". My main concern about purchasing this vehicle was the lack of dealer certified service in my area. Unfortunately, my fears became reality just 3 weeks after purchasing our new 2005 Mini. Our sun/moonroof motor went out after only 1,200 miles on the car. I spent a day traveling to get this car repaired under warranty. I am hoping for the best from here on out. The car is truly very fun to drive and actually fits our family of 4. I am 6'4" and the car fits me fine. We all have a great time taking rides in our Mini.

Best Car I Have Ever Bought
This Car Offf the showroom flor fits the bill in what i want in a car. Rides great on long trips. The fun factor is way up there. The most bang for you'r buck. Not only that but the "cute" factor is still there after two years of ownership.
Best of British & German Heritage
I have had both German (BMW, M-B, VW, Opel) and British (Morris, Jag, MG) cars in the past and know the good and bad traits of both. The MINI Cooper S combines the best of both of its parents into a gem. Tight handling, stiff ride, quick reflexes, very good fit and finish are reminiscent of my 1980s BMW 3-series and earlier M-Bs; style and a certain British stuffiness recalls my 1990s Jag XJ; a little bit of frumpiness in interior spaces reminds me of my 1950s Morris Minor. (Nothing about it reminds me of my 1960s Opel!)
FUN MOBILE
I have own many vehicles before, but none have been has fun to drive as the MINI Cooper S. Great Handling car, as while as good on gas. With four snow tires on, this car is unstopable in the snow. I have passed many 4WD vehicles going up hills, that they could not make.
